I have man to man sex so naturally I get tested regularly, sometimes it becomes raw sex if seeing the same person exclusively. Yet I still go for 3 monthly checks. I note many straight couples, straight men and TVs have raw sex with woman trans and some men. Do couples get tested as regularly as us single bi/gay men ? |

Just as a matter of interest how long after unprotected sex should you wait to get tested? I only ask as I was reading somewhere you should wait 2 weeks to ensure for viral bloom (if present), but my ex is adamant that it should be 7 weeks after. |

When I go to get tested they always ask if I've had any new partners in the past 2 weeks as if so the tests may not catch everything. They tend to ask a lot of questions to assess the risk levels so if you need to wait I'm sure they'll tell you.
In terms of scheduling I like to go every 6 months as a minimum, though when I was in a monogamish relationship that did lapse into longer periods. |
