Talk to people. Be friendly. However, also give people space. Just because a couple have been friendly, it doesn't mean they want to play, so don't be tempted to latch onto them and use them as an entree into talking to other couples.
Don't follow people around.
Even if you don't smoke, go out into the smoking area, as that's a great place to chat to folk.
