These were the best porn, the 70s,80s and 90s.
Had no previews so just had to judge the box cover. Some used to have previews of other porn films before the main film.
They had storylines before they got down to sex and you can watch it again from where you last left it.

In the days of analogue satellite TV a drinking buddy of mine had a friend with access to filmnet and porn channels, he recorded them for my mate who came to me to make copies to sell on. Paid me a quid a tape (he provided the tapes) and I made a copy for myself. Quite a lucrative business.
About 10 years ago I had a clear out and around 450 tapes went in the bin |

I moved house last year and binned mine. Lots of regular VHS too, not just porn. Just no point keeping them as I last had a video recorder about 8 years ago!
Does anyone still have a means to play them? I can't see VHS matching vinyl and making a comeback. |

I still have a VHS player and some music videos, occasionally give them a run but it has been years so no idea if the player still works! |

Babyface was always one of my favourites, and I've also got some of Annie Sprinkles, Vanessa del Rio, Marilyn Chambers, and a lot of Color Climax ones too. Back in the days when I used to “borrow” my dads tapes I remember one where the guy looked like Burt Reynolds the guys name was Sasha Gabor and one of the girls was Nina DePonca. I can’t think for the life of me what’s it was called

Personally, I think the 70s and 80s was the best era for porn, especially with more people buying VHS recorders in the 80s. Even more so becuase I was a regular of the Soho cinema clubs from 1979 to 1983, when they were raided and closed down one by one.
What's best about this era is that the actresses seem to be chosen mainly for their "girl next door" looks and style.
Recommended viewing from the golden era:
Anyof the 10-minute shorts by Color Climax (as one poster has already said), Rodox, Tabu, or Swedish Erotica (which were actually American!)
Caught From Behind (US 1982 film mostly about anal sex)
Pretty Peaches
French Finishing School
