Public apology

Right, I have inadvertently offended some of you, I can only apologise x I created a thread in an effort to be humorous and highlight that lots of threads generally alienate someone.
I’m doing so I did the very thing I was trying not too!
Anyway. I would never set out to upset anyone so hopefully anyone that was offended can forgive me.

A poor turn of phrase but not deliberate and merely highlighting that any “labelling” could be construed as offensive by someone. Hence my comment about being offended. So can I be offended that you are offended?
As I say I wanted to apologise for being offensive as I attempted to humourlessly parody the various appreciation threads that by their nature inadvertently alienate someone on fab. There really is or should be something or someone for everyone here and I would never set out to cause upset (which I apparently did) anyway it’s bad enough having a thread that caused offence without the apology thread creating further offence! |

I don’t know. Plenty of men would see being referred to by ladies as “white cock” as a bit derogatory. Plenty of ladies find BBW derogatory as well. |

Haven’t read the thread but by the look of it, it was really poor choice of words. Intentional or not it wasn’t the best way to highlight what you just said above, which I totally agree with.
Fair play to you for doing this thread and recognise what you did. Not a lot ppl would and probably kept on going saying that ppl shouldn’t be offended….

I'm no racist and I respect people's opinions but equally I won't apologise for my own personal beliefs of what I see or say

It’s funny that everyone is accepting the apology even though they weren’t the group insulted! The derogatory comment was aimed at slim women not BBWs or men or any of the others who felt the need to accept the apology on our behalf apparently! |

It was obvious what you were trying to achieve with the thread, but also the terminology used was always going to cause upset.
Its not the thread that was at fault abd it's not the thread that needs an apology, but that term definitely does need apologising for |
