Midlands Social Socials proposal.
Would anybody be interested in participating in a Social Social networking group for MF couples and singles covering primarily the area of the M6 corridor east from Birmingham/Coventry?
It would be a kind of social social sub community pertaining to matters tangential to the scene, rather than the scene itself.
The purpose of the group would be to cater for male and female users who perhaps are not yet confident to join a club or event, or simply wish to network at a level below the commitment of a formal club but within the scene. This would not be an alternative to Fab.
A bit like a (Facebook/twitter) group for people based in this easy travelled region to chat and network, arrange pub meets etc and informal events.
For example, I often get free tickets for concerts and events I have to waste, offers etc. And I know many of us share interests in art and photography, music, movies, theatre and sharing these interests communally. Need help with camera skills or just short of someone to watch the new movie with, share a pint or cadge a lift from. Specifically in this region.
The idea arises out of a conversation I had with JG about how singles men particularly don’t seem to support each other when they consider joining a club. It just occurred to me that there is that grey area of uncertainty and confidence that can sometimes be helped by others. It’s such a simple thing to offer when some single people, especially men, find it so hard to penetrate Fab at a meaningful level.
Just an idea, but as a relative newbie to the site my perspective is that there needs to be a way to draw the two distinct groups of Fab users together.
Let me have your ideas/ questions/thoughts/ interest.

Although not my area I think it’s a great idea.
I’ve been to one social with UpTheBrum and loved it. Met some absolutely fantastic people along the way.
Swinging is very much social as it is sexual I think and being able to meet like minded people where there’s no pressure is a great way of making new friends and possible play friends |

Thanks for that.
UpTheBrum was mentioned, but to be quite honest i mistook this for a different type of event.
Any thoughts on a suitable platform? |

"Depends exactly what you mean.
The Coventry social seems popular, but it’s unclear if you mean an actual social event group or just a chat group."
Hi, not an event per se since the idea would be to include events, meets, socials etc plus other social stuff tangential to swinging.
A loose grouping of like minded people who do not have the benefit of an existing club network for whatever reason. So for example if someone has a spare ticket for something or someone needs a lift etc etc.
I haven’t decided on a specific platform because I am waiting to hear if this is a viable or even necessary suggestion. |
