More a post of frustration I guess lol
Spoken to a few ‘women’ recently, as the conversation goes on it becomes more clear they are men !
Why do they do it ?
Must just be a Shropshire thing, it was not like this when I lived in Yorkshire |

To be fair most are pretty easy to spot and if you are constantly taken in by them you may want to rethink your vetting process.
It's not just men who have fake accounts there are women who have fake accounts of both genders that they use to 'spy' on people they are already talking to or that their friends are chatting to.
I think it's pretty sad individuals who need to make fake accounts though.

You’ll probably find they’re seeking attention for various reasons, and women tend to get much more attention than men.
A female friend of mine on here was telling me that with a simple update or picture she’ll receive 50-100 messages at least, if a guy does the same he’ll be lucky to get 2-3 (at best) |

Happens all the time and has always happened.
1) Single guys dominate the site
2) Many people on here never have any intention of meeting.
3) Some people just get off on it or are looking for spank.bank material.
4) Some men, for whatever ridiculous reason, think if they pose as a couple you'll still meet when no woman turns up (know several couples this has happened to).
5) Some are just scammers.
So you have to be on your guard.
Sadly we are now at a point where everyone is having to deal with this and nothings being done to reduce it or protect legitimate users.

Completely agree! Surely Fab should start asking for users to submit proof of ID that would prevent these fake accounts being created? Or does it make them too much money all these fakes purchasing gold and silver packages to try appear legitimate? So annoying |

Yep think this happened to me yesterday
As soon as I asked them to verify themselves with a face pic and the date the account disappeared, and now the original person isn’t talking to me lol
I won’t meet people without talking first on the phone, it’s amazing how that soon filters people out. |

Oh this old bollocks again.
No couple ever play sepertly and no person would ever let their partner play alone.
Come off it. The whole hotwife thing is big on here but the moment it's a hot husband thing, nope can't be real at all.
We meet seperatly and we are well verified. What more do people need?
Whilst I wouldn't meet a guy and I'm also not arguing there are not cheats on here (because there are) sitting and claiming its all "shite" and no one should fall for it is just ridiculous.
If in doubt check the veris, get some proof or whatever but don't assume everyone's lying in that situation. |

It actually makes people (including us) suspicious of all accounts. I'm constantly feeling that people think "we" is just me pretending as although we're a couple and we do meet, we don't meet that often and Char almost never logs in to this account. We give all the signs of just being a bloke wanking away

Don't sweat it. You're well verified as a couple (recently as well). If somone can't take a few moments out of the day to see you are what you say you are on the tin then that's their issues, not yours.
We are well verified as a couple, meet seperetely, do socials and clubs, have the couples photos etc etc. In short have jumped through all the hoops that need to be jumped through to prove we are what we say we are with the dynamic we say we have.
We still get some on here who doubt it or say "single guy cheating on his wife". Whatever..let them get on with it and dont meet us then. You can't please everyone so don't try.
At this point, anyone who's been on the site any period of time "should" be able to work out a few basics to tell if something sounds legit or not.
But again...it does suck we are at this point on the site. |

Can't speak for op but can speak for ourselves. When we talk to couples it's not that big a deal for us as we don't entertain unverified and/ or empty accounts. There needs to be some sort of recent-ish veri (even if it's a photo veri because everyone starts somewhere) and some details.
As long as the conversation is civil and not a graphic description of what they plan to do.to.my wife (which is an instant block) or wanting us to send pics and vis it's usually a couple even if just one is talking. Only.ever had 2 in 10 years where they admitted that it was just a guy as she had changed her mind or they had split up or whatever bullshit (found out later these where fwb accounts which we dont do). Again instant block and report.
So most of the time...non issue for us with couples.
Single female accounts however....they are forever popping up some are dodgy as hell.
Now again, same rules as above. Needs to be verified in some manner but we have on multiple occasions found accounts where they where web cam.veried or photo varied but where obvious fakes.
Had one a while back that was webcam verified by several gullible idiots (and they where) because whoever was behind the account was streaming pre recorded videos of a woman. We caught it when we saw the stream (it looped).
But I digress, those individuals tend.to have little.in the way of veris, massive freinds lists, ask or want some really.sketchy stuff if you give them long enough like asking my wife for her worn knickers for example or trying to get their male freind to join in or the most obvious two of all, only wanting to talk dirty to.my.wife and / or wanting us to send pics and vidoes on kick.or whatsapp.

Now yeah, certain things on their own dont always indicate a fake but certain things combined..yeah it's a guy jacking off and trying.not to leave a trail.on fab.
Dosent mean we are always right (maybe we have blocked a few legitimate ladies) but most of those accounts get deleted or removed not that long after we block them.
There's a lot of little things that can set the old spider sense off but after 10 years plus of being on fab, running social.events etc etc you.can often tell who's here for real, who's a fantasist and who's here for wank fodder. Not saying I'm always right but if something sounds way to.good to be true one here, it usually.is. |

We are genuine couple how have been verified and got 2 recent verifications from social and meet we have found we have spoken to couples and they have used other couples pics and found some that write pronounce exactly the same so wonder if they were a couple and now it’s just one behind the account, we both login to our account and you can be talking to either of us but would never pretend to be female if male is talking that would just be weird |

I totally understand the couples profiles where it turns out to be f is always busy, changed their mind, don't exist ect..when I had a joint profile with my ex it happened. Being on a single womans profile I guess it's not something that happens to us much, a guy pretending to be a woman. Especially when messaging a woman who dosnt want to meet single women. As for the graphic messages, constant sext talk, wanting pics, wank fodder and to move to wassap, kik strsight away ect That happens alot. It's a great red flag, but dosnt mean they are fake, it just tells me they not someone i want to meet as not here for the same thing as me.
Obviously the film on the loop is different. Im just genuinely curious how op says when chatting it becomes clear they are men. What gets said by the "lady" for someone to think they are a man.
I never rely on veris. It defiantly dosnt make any difference to me deciding if I chat to or meet someone. I've met with a a few completely unverified fellas.
I guess it all depends on how someone personally defines what a fake or time waster is. The only fakes I have come across was a fella using a skateboarding photographers pictures claiming was himself and another who pretended to be England's kick boxing champion lol
I do think though, from all the threads on this kinda subject that sometimes it's an easy cop out for when it disnt go the way someone thought or wanted it to. |

Don’t get why someone would pretend as they will never get to meet anyone, just be honest I tell k to find a guy she likes and chat as it’s something we want as an experience guy joining us, she has seen 100s of guys and today for the first time she said she fancied someone from the luck dip that I sent pic too told her to ask for one back when he offered and she txt me saying he was nice looking so I msged him told him what she said and told them to chat so don’t get why someone would lie if they want to have a wank just watch porn |

All people have to do is check to see if the person is "photo verified", if they are not then pass them by.

We are new and it’s been a learning curve could be stopped buy not been allowed to msg until you are verified or can they get round that I guess if we’re couple and then single using account but even then everyone could be requested to do new verification photo every 3-6 months |

All people have to do is check to see if the person is "photo verified", if they are not then pass them by.

Photo veris can be faked if you know what you are doing with Photoshop. There's no shortage of pictures on the web you can find to do it with.

There will be limits on what a free to use site can do, when it's not as wealthy as fbook, etc.
Fab relies on us users and moderators to help to protect ourselves, our time, etc as a community and to0help to 'police' the user behaviour.
We have to up our own game, with filtering out the unsuitable. And to report suspicious or inappropriate users.
As a free site, it offers us the largest volume of people, compared to a paid site. We have to manage our expectations appropriately.
