I've just seen a post from am ex club manager talking about being attacked at work by a customer and received no support from her employer.
I've previously seen a post from a lady who visited another club who was sexually assaulted and the management didn't care.
I myself have been physically assaulted in a club (the management were excellent when I spoke to them).
I've seen posts from ladies before saying they don't feel safe going to a club on their own or worrying about their safety and that's why they haven't been.
Is this a common worry? I've been to 4 clubs and none of them have had security and I've never knowingly witnessed any trouble so I do think cases are few and far between (although obviously to those it happens to this is of little comfort).
What are others experiences? Worries? How do you keep safe?
This is for men and women as I think there can be safety issues for both sexes but I do realise there's a stark difference for many women when it comes to feeling safe that most men don't feel.

I think it depends upon the respective club, tne hosts and clientele. We go to No 3 in Chorley and they take excellent care of single ladies, not only that but most of the regular males look out for them too and any potential awkwardness is nipped in the bud. For my part I usually take a moment to let any new single ladies know there are people they can talk to or rely on, including myself - I am usually with my wife and so hopefully I don’t come across as intimidating. We all want more ladies to come to clubs and it is vital that they feel and are safe. |
