There are lots of factors influencing the number of fabs a pic gets, even down to what the profile is looking for. Profiles not looking for single guys don't get the credit they deserve for their pics. So basically people fab pics for attention as well as appreciation. Also, what is hot to one might be crass to another

Yes 100% agree. Confidence is sexy! I would also say think about background - avoid things that distract from the main focus of pic. |

It's subjective. I don't look at hotpics very often but when I have done there are usually quite a few near the top that go against the grain of what is usually claimed in the forums.
There are also quite a few where I genuinely have no idea what I'm looking at no matter how I zoom or rotate my screen but yet they have hundreds and sometimes thousands of fabs. |
