Hi, so I’ve been talking to someone on here and we arranged for her to come to mine tomorrow. Thing is she has no profile picture, naturally I did ask to see a picture and she showed one in a message. Where I’m not a subscriber currently I think it shows the pic in low quality so a bit blurry. I asked to see another picture today as I’m about to give her my address, she says she doesn’t have any more.
Am I being unreasonable to ask for another picture? I mean how hard is it to take a picture and send it in a message? I would do it if someone requested.
I’m not talking naked either, just face.
She even said someone lied about their pics on her last meet from here as well so surely understands my concern.
Why do people hide pictures and pretend they don’t have any? |

It’s definitely not unreasonable. Personally for me it takes me 2000 attempts to get a decent face pic and to be honest I hate face pics of myself full stop. Maybe she doesn’t like hers or she’s paranoid about them who knows. But it’s definitely good to be wary |

Red flag for us.
Not been common but those reluctant to send a clear photo are not always what they claim to be. Not hard in the era of mobile phones.
Might be legit and just super secretive but ...meh. |

Definitely a red flag, it's very easy to send a direct photo.
Are you in contact via any other ways like apps?

It’s a shame because it’s hard to find local people on here, the last one only a month ago cancelled first meet, we rearranged then she cancelled that last minute. Now this, feels like a nice run of bad luck.
I won’t give out address unless I see something that I can determine is real.
I guess the other slight ‘red flag’ was she messaged me first… that almost never happens on here for guys like me.

I can understand not wanting to send a photo although I can't see the harm in a straightforward direct photo of a face but we all have different levels of discretion. Meeting in a coffee shop shouldn't be too much to ask though. |

Initially we were going to meet in public and just go for a walk at a place nearby as it is 5 mins from where we both live… she cancelled that on the day saying something had come up that she couldn’t get out of.
I’ve had people come to my house on a first meet before, but they all had pictures and verifications etc and I could tell they were real. I know people see that as a risk, but I know I’m safe and not an axe wielder and their verifications suggest the same about them. This is very different though, some 45 year old german guy could show up at my house if I gave my address out this time |

Does she ha e genuine meet verifications?
Tell her it's easy to take a quick picture on her phone and send it to you via fab. If she doesn't want to do that ask if she's happy to speak on the telephone or video call via Skype or similar.

Only proposing that someone very different could show up, no offence intended to german people.
No it’s a fairly new profile with no verifications. The more I type the more red flags are revealed. I genuinely have met someone in a similar instance before though, every profile has to start somewhere and earn the first verification. |

Profile is now hidden, likely situations are: She saw this thread and was insulted, saw the thread and knew I had cottoned on, knew I wouldn’t meet without a picture so hid it.

Most likely option is ‘she’ is a ‘he’ and just gets a kick out of messing with people. Sadly, there are quite a few people like that on here.
