Our understanding is that a generic anklet is simply body jewellery.
It's what's on the anklet that denotes whether she's into "the scene" etc.
S has a "HW" anklet (with obvious meaning to those in the know, or even those curious and with the capability to Google) and also an anklet with a vixen charm which is a little less obvious.
She wears them because she finds them pretty, not for any other reason. |

"I have a hot wife braceket/anklet, love wearing it out as know it torments him that someone might notice and start flirting. "
Mrs NC has a HW anklet and I LOVE it when she wears it out as someone might notice and start flirting... |

That is true today, but back in the day they were worn by prostitutes."
So were shoes, and probably dresses, skirts, blouses, and a raincoat when it was raining. |

When I wear an anklet, it's a sign that I'm embracing the discolouration on my leg; from infections some time ago, by adding something pretty. Nothing more, nothing less. |

True, but in the 19th century ankle bracelets were worn by working girls in London to let potential punters know that's what they were.
I remember in 1979/80 they became high street fashion for young ladies,so that meaning was pretty much killed then,if indeed it still existed. |

Precisely this. Apologies if my post was ambiguous. |
