We're (probably unnecessarily) suspicious of people that keep deleting their accounts. We generally feel that either the wife found out or they got banned for upsetting people.
It also makes it terribly hard to keep track of people. We get messages saying that they met us a year ago but they don't think to give a name or photo to remind us who were talking to. And we lose all the conversation when they start a new account.
Better to hide it while you're taking a break.

In 10 years we've left the site once. This was simply due to life and work putting things on hold for about a year. For whatever reason, we didn't realise you could hide profiles back then.
So we have never left bar user error. |

I've deleted a couple of accounts over the years due to splitting with the lady. Usually just hide accounts if off for an extended period.
Not sure why I/we keep coming back we usually only meet in clubs as arranging off here is a bloody nightmare. |
