Some people see it as being lazy.
I see it as being a quick and easy way to gauge someones interest.
However, I tend to message people as I feel I am more in control of 'advertising my wares' so-to-speak. |

i never reply to winks
I always think guys who wink just send them out to every women on the site in the hope that if they wink enough they will get someone to reply back
so im never sure if they winked me because they have a interest in me as a person or if they have winked me because im one of many women they have block winked
so i dont reply as i dont like the idea of someone meeting me bacause i was the only woman who replied lol |

With Platinum membership you are allowed unlimited winks at the same person. I use it like a morse code. Some days it's like I have a severe nervous tick I wink so much. |

From my point of view i find it frustrating when someone winks me and i then reciprocate or send message then get no further contact.
You would think that by showing initial contact a reply would be forthcoming.
I send winks call it lazy maybe but way i look at it is females get tons of messages and so by winking it saves them time by quick view rather than long message. I do send messages too lol i am not just a winker. |

We really don't mind getting winks, but often find the sender's profile has no pics and not much in the way of text. Makes us wonder why they bothered. If somebody really wants to get our attention a sensible message with pics attached is much better. |

I sometimes send a wink a day or so before a message. Other times I wink if I don't quite meet the requirements of the recipient, so a couple of years too old or if they say they will look for single males when they want one etc.

i think winks are there to show your interested if you send or recieve a wink you look and if you like you wink back...then message if some dont like winks or think it lazy then they shoulf say no winks on profile as some do......myself i like winks .... |

As a couple, we will respond to winks. But when I had a single male profile I quickly realised that sending them was utterly futile. If a woman is inundated with messages, it stands to reason that they are unlikely to reply to someone who is too lazy to even to send the briefest of messages. |
