All our close friends and some relatives know. My children have their suspicions and have mentioned it however I think they chose to ignore it. They are adults. Its nothing to be ashamed of. We love it and if others are ashamed for us well then thats their problem. |

I told an old school mate about swinging. At first he was okay with it but after a while he kept having a dig at me for as he put it 'my lifestyle choices ' and I think that he thought I would be after his wife or something like that to be honest.
After a while I got fed up with the comments and questions about swinging and I now no longer have anything to do with them or his family. And to be honest I think that he thought he had something over on me as he then started to preach to me about how to look after my parents and the like.
So now I keep it to myself. |

We went to a club for the first time in years last night. When sorting out childcare with the MIL she asked 'are you going to one of your parties?'....

I have told a couple of people in the past,but one blurted it out in the pub,albeit sort of coded. So decided then not to tell anyone else. The only other friend who knows that, I haven't met through swingeing,she is also a swinger. So no harm there. |

All of our friends joke we’re swingers lol
We certainly prefer to keep our friends and family in the dark but we have told our best friends (a couple) that we’ve joined here etc but then again we have some fun with them
from time to time.  |

As I said to my sister, "We need to keep our swinging adventures a secret, mum gets so jealous!"
(Note re above: I didn't say this. Swinging without my sister is a big secret for me).

A cpl of close friends. And one of my daughters knows, but that is more to do with the fact that myself an my husband- either separately or together- accommodate and it's her home too. She is an adult, and does ask questions, and we are open and honest with her. It means she is more open and honest with us if she is meeting someone (she uses different dating sites) and makes safer choices. |

I dont broadcast it, but if people ask I certainly don't hide it. The only time I might fib to keep it a secret is if I know it would offend someone to know the truth because of their religious or moral beliefs. But to be honest that would be rare - if they want to judge me, that's on them, not me! |

Everyone I know knows I’m here. I always introduce myself to strangers as “Joe Swinger from Sussex! Shagger extraordinaire!”
It’s always a conversation starter! Except at my solicitor’s office where my solicitor and her clerk answered it with very red faces “Yes we recognise you from Fab - we’re both on it too!” 
Does get strange reactions in the local supermarket though! But I like to think I’m doing my bit to promote the lifestyle!  |
