Discrete = individually separate and distinct.
Discreet = careful and prudent in speech and action.
I am pretty sure the latter is what is meant in all occurrences of discrete/discreet on Fab, although I suppose that a couple 'playing separately' could be both discrete and discreet! |

The professional one as you mention by definition you are professional if you are paid to do it, amateur if not. But those in a professional job is someone whom is in a profession that usually requires a higher education level of learning to gain entry, I.e the medical profession or a lawyer.
