My experience is that people are more concerned with categories and what that means relative to them rather than the actual individuals of the thread subject. Maybe you've had a different experience op but think the majority of people now are open minded enough to be more inclusive. The ones that aren't aren't worth taking notice of.

"I would simply pose the question whether we belong on this site.So many forums seem to be trans controversial. "
I understand your concern, in what you would assume and hope to be trans inclusive environment there are definitely threads on the forum where I suspect it feels far from inclusive.

"Yes there's this recurring thread about the distinction between ts and tvs. Frankly it's tedious and unnecessary. "
I imagine it is to see the same things being repeated. However another way to look at it might be that a lot of people are curious about a subject they are not familiar with and are genuinely asking questions to educate themselves. I think this is always better than remaining in ignorance, but anonymous arguments on internet threads do allow people to be much ruder than they would in real life so it often descends into petty arguing lol

I think the categories on here could be expanded. There is a big difference between us ropey crossdressers and trans |

How they identify, what the do and why they do it! And I think that's some of the challenge with the labels on here
I'm firmly a crossdresser / hairy panty wearer. I identify as bi male but (for sexual gratification) will also sometimes wear girlie this. Even when I do, though, I still basically look male(ish)!
As a sweeping generalisation (and the risk of getting flamed), most TVs will go the step further and, unlike me, will actually look like the gender they are dress (be that female or male). Their sexual prefeances or how they like to be perceived may also change with their dress
At the other end of the scale (from me) are TS. Again, more generalisation but ... TS generally are trapped in the wrong body and want to be [the other sex].
Trouble is on here you're either make, female or TV/TS - there aren't any options for the nuances and therefore the open conversation about ones preferences aren't easily held
Hope that helps at least start the conversation and that I haven't offendened anyone with my broad brush generalisation

Of course you do? I mean why wouldn't you? Regardless of what "type" of trans you are, Male to Female, part time crossdresser, Female to Male or a male to a bloody Apricot, you've all got every right to be on here to socialise and have your fun just as much as the next person. |

Agreed. Men that dress up for the sexual thrill and people that genuinely identify as a sex should not be held in the same category, as they simply are not the same thing. Men and Women get straight, bi and gay categories, why can't TV/TS's get Crossdresser, Transitioned Female etc. categoires? |

Of course we belong. Not one label should try and assume priority.
Many, many people are liberal enough to be accepting, even if it doesnt float their boat. As you'd expect from a swingers site...
Sadly its not always the way, a significant minority are pretty transphobic in their comments, and admin dont do nearly enough to moderate it fairly- not surprising really as the site owners have ignored all requests to bring the site out of the 90s and add a few labels to differentiate various places on the spectrum....
But yeah, you have as much right to be here as others... If they dont like it? That's their fucking problem |

If you’re a genuine swinger then you belong on this site regardless of gender.
Remember that only a very small number of people on Fan actually use the forums OP. |

What is a genuine Swinger?"
Someone who enjoys swapping partners or groupsex.
However i think they meant someone who is easy going when it comes to sex and doesn't hold much prejudice.
Hence a real swinger wouldn't have any problem with peoples gender or whatever as we're all just here for a good time. |

Yes, that was the gist of what I meant. Blame working night shifts for not explaining it very well!
My partner has never felt excluded on Fab but they don’t participate on the forums.
There can be negative comments but they are rare and usually stem from misunderstanding or confusion. Let’s face it, there can be negativity about every subject under the sun on the forums

Yes everyone is welcome and should feel safe on here and welcomed.
I feel the only 1 issue if i have to be picky is some tv women place their gender as women, and not tv, which i dont agree with.
But everyone on this site should feel welcome and safe. |

On the whole I have felt welcome on here (though there have been a few obnoxious comments).
I do feel there should be a distinction between TV and trans though.
As others have said trans are those who are undergoing a gender change for whatever reason.
TV are people who like to express and present themselves as the opposite sex but without the transition.
I am definitely in the TV camp. I am smooth pretty much all the time. I love to dress and pose as a woman. I act as feminine as I can.
I am even making my body as feminine as I can without full transition.
But, I don't want to change my gender.
To be honest, we probably do need a crossdresser option too as in my experience that tends to be where a lot of people are... |

"Crossdresser option is too vague as whilst it may include tgirls it would undoubtedly cover guys who just want to wear ladies lingerie rather than portraying themselves as women. "
I was thinking options for crossdresser, TV and Trans separate? |

Of course you belong, and if anyone tells you otherwise, block and report them immediately, and don’t bother with arguing with bigots to justify your existence. They won’t change, but a site ban of them makes this a better place. |

We spend a reasonable amount of time on the forums and Having spoken agree that we have never seen what you describe.
Perhaps you are over sensitive or maybe you are attempting to trigger people? |

Yes we belong. Yes there is lots hate tv/ts in here equally as must as they hate gay / bi men.
Thankfully no one should give zero fucks what internet strangers think / view is as. They are just insignificant like insects and serve no relevance to life so don’t even register these types

Tbh I don’t think there IS an answer to suit all.
There have been many forum posts that have rapidly gone downhill with in-house fighting about who should be classed as what.
There appears to be a pecking order with the poor old HPW’s and cross dressers at the bottom of the pile.
How about supporting each other no matter where you are on the spectrum before you expect others to do the same?

I have been on 10 years, I prefer it to the other fab site as thats too full on.
I like this site more as I get straight males who want to be " straight" with me.
Would be nice for a cd/tv section on here though |
