Myself as a truck driver and many others. Why is there alot not prepared to meet up with a truck driver. (In a public place for a social) I work away Monday to Friday and often just looking for a social to fill out the evenings and meet someone new in a new city. I know most want someone local for regular meets. But that's just not possible. I do often park in the usual spots however it's hard to tell where I will be parking up until it comes to the end of my driver's hours. So it's often hard to get talking to most people through out the day. Especially most the time I'm only having 1 break and then I'm driving the rest of the day so can't respond as I don't use my phone.
Would love to see other people's opinions on truck driver's. And if any questions, do give a comment  .

Many of us wont do/cant do last minute or random meets. Yes alot of us do want regular meets over a one off. Is it our problem/fault that you dont have time to chat much, get 1 break a day, wont know where you will be be untill your there so cant plan ahead, not local, trust me, we dont wanna text all day, .we arnt here for you, we are all here for ourselves. Can imagine it can be shit and lonely doing your job, but just because its not possible for you with your job, we are gonna go with what works for us. You make it sound like we being unfair on you. |

Lets face it. Lets say for example you park up in a lay-by for the night after a long day usually 15 hours, sweating unloading trailers etc. I dont see any showers in lay-bys. Not very appealing to a woman to go and have fun with stinky lorry driver  |

There seems to be some very misinformed people here!
As a hgv driver myself, I can count on one hand the amount of times in the last six months or so I have gone without a shower. If I’m parking in a truck stop or a service area there is always showers available for us! If I decide to park in a lay-by or on a industrial estate, I will stop on route and get myself a shower before I head to my parking location for the night.
As for shiting in the bushes this is our EE friends who park up for two days at a time that give us drivers a bad name |

It isn't the safest of places to go too tbh.
Not enough time to have a decent chat before meeting for a social, etc.
There are women who will but there isn't a lot of them. |

A lot of truck drivers get a shower at the services before they park up for the night, I get one every night without fail, |

Never heard so many hypocritical and stupid comments, as a trucker myslef I shower every day before I park up for the night, I wear clean clothes daily and my truck has plenty of room, bed big enough for 2, heating, fridge, microwave, maybe some of you doubters need to open your eyes an take a look just how well were kitted out and the stigmatism of being a dirty greasy trucker is long long gone |

i used to meet a very hot guy who was a trucker he always parked at a truck stop location where he could get decent meals and shower and his cab was spotless and yes the cab is on the small side but with some imagination we had a great time in his cab ,,,normally gave me a few days notice too ...very horny indeed knowing you getting into the cab of a truck to meet a hot guy for a couple hours of fun ...

Unfortunately all truck drivers are the same in people’s eyes.. that is dirty smelly people..
I’ve done the job for 27yrs before I had to knock it on the head due medical issues..
In that 27yrs I’ve done UK & EUROPE..showers are available & toilets.. YES I’ve had to pee in a bush but NEVER had to shit..
Yes the cab can be crammed & small but that’s down to how much stuff the driver has got in there..
Drivers are limited to where they can park so hence truck stops-services-laybys or industrial estates.. I can’t say all drivers are clean coz there are the few that aren’t..
But to meet for a social wouldn’t hurt you & plus it would give you a idea of what that person is like.. |
