Hey, I’m aware that some people are on here for one thing and one thing only… but why does this mean that the art of conversation has to be so limited?

And since when is it ok to keep spamming a persons inbox if they don’t reply as soon as they’ve read a message?

Sorry. Little bit annoyed tonight!

I'm terrible at first messages but good at conversation when it gets going! Unfortunately it seems to be the first message that counts

You ok hun?

Lol sorry couldnt resist.

I too do think it's good to have a decent conversation first/during.

For me personally I have no idea what to send a first message, so I'm sure that people don't reply back soemtimes just because I struggle with that.

I just hope that someone wants to chat further, which is where it gets all good for me, because I can have a conversation, just don't know how to start one.

It’s the lads that start with… “feeling horny… wanna meet?” It’s awful. I’m not opposed to a simple hey as a starter. But without pressure every other message to meet etc.

To be fair, that's not something I have ever tried as have always thought that it doesn't really show who the person is. I get its not a dating site, but at least give over a bit of personality some how.

Central

People vary a lot here but conversations and getting to know and filter potential partners is fairly standard here. Most people are not compatible, so we have to expect many chats to fail. They're just different from us.

It's better to block as soon as you realise they're not for you. It's not appropriate for repeated messages Hassling

The art of conversation is lost on alot of people. I am bemused when you get a wink off a woman /couple so you message politely, start a conversation and you are just ignored, even though you are responding to the message /wink that they made. I'm not sure whether they are after the reply of, "you wanna fuck", maybe being polite is just boring to them......

I think some people just don't like/can't do conversation, which is fine everyone is different. For me it's just not as exciting.

100%. Like I said I get that some people are after a good quick bunk up, and there is nothing wrong with that. But some of the messages I get through are just devoid of thought.

Up on them there hills

Odd that only 7% of communication comes through the spoken/written word and we expect it to communicate more than 7% of who we are.

The majority of my first messages received from ladies or couples are "hey" or "Hi". Fab double standard. Ce la vie! I am still very pleased to receive them.

Feeling your pain a little tonight. Despite good filters and a clear profile I’ve had some odd ones tonight inc some downright offensive!

Dunno what’s in the water or whatever but I hope it’s removed soon!
