No it wouldn't be any better and it would also cause a lot of the genuine people to leave or not join in the first place. I know I wouldn't have joined of I had to pay at the start.
Fakes are easy enough to spot if you take the time to actually look for signs. But a lot don't they get carried away chatting to someone and ignore any red flags then cry when it doesn't work out the way they want about that the amount of fakes on here and how it ruins fab.
Not to mention the amount of genuine people who get labeled fake just because they said no to someone as well.I have been called it numerous times on here just because I said no to meeting some random person I have no interest in.

Honestly I don’t think it would at all…
- Some genuine people wouldn’t be able to afford it
- It would make those that have “had to pay” feel even more entitled
- It might cut down a few but not many. People will still waste your time regardless.
*You could potentially use fab in that way now and only meet or interact with site supporters. To see if that makes any difference for you… (I don’t think there is a filter for that) but you could just choose to only interact with them, if you think paid members won’t waste your time? |

As I said recently fabs USP is that it's free to use. You can filter out non site supporters from messaging you and you can choose not to contact them. The site will work the way you want it to then |

Iv thought of this a few times myself but no matter what you do they’ll always be timewasters, maybe less than now but you just have to be careful.
Dismissing non verified or site supporters is a bit unfair as we all have to start somewhere and some are genuine.

No. It wouldn't. There will always be fantasists and dreamers on sites like this. I think at the least every profile should be green flagged and photo-verified but that's still not a be all end all solution.
Just need to be vigilant and learn to avoid profiles who aren't what you're looking for. |

You’re thinking time wasters don’t have the money to pay for the site? If that’s what they get off on, they will pay. Gleefully because they know people will think that a pay site has no time wasters. |
