If you have messaged somebody, with a very polite and honest message to introduce yourself, and recieved back "no thanks"
Would you respond to a general shout out for a meet they had put up weeks /months later?
Would you message them in a few weeks/months if there preferences had specifically changed, to meet what you are mutually lookin for .
Or would you simply not bother contacting them again? |

I get irritated with people who message me again if I put up something saying I'm looking for a meet and I've said no already.
If I'm going to a club event then I don't mind a message saying that someone else is going and may say hello. Or if I'm arranging a social then all are welcome - it's purely social.
But if I've posted a meet or, as is more likely "if you're in my friends list and have some free time" then you're likely to be offered a block if you message me when I've already said no. |

Understand all that but I was meaning if what they were looking for had changed ? Change of circumstance perhaps.... Not a loaded question just curious |

"If I get a no thanks I normally message back saying thanks for replying and good luck, and be safe, then never message then again "
Im the same, would only contact again if said have found someone already. If have said not our type just block them as thats very unlikley to change, so dont ever contact them again!! but i can see your point if their preferences change, but think bit like bangng head against a brick wall. |

I would'nt remember who had messaged me months ago to be honest and sometimes circumstances do change,I know ours do and I know that ive said no to people that I would possibly like to meet purely because ive had lots going on at a particular time and don't want to keep people hangning on and on for a meet |

If you think everyone else has missed your point, perhaps yo should clarify it a bit further then you may get responses of the right kind.

If someone says just delete the message and don't reply, I add a private note to their profile.
If they delete it a second time - I change the note to say "not interested".
Why do I do this? Because people change their minds. I've had better luck at the second time of asking. And yes, i do see there can be a fine line here...
But if they reply saying no thanks - I immediately respect that. |

Its not always about what someone is looking for, they may just not have fancied you in the first place regardless of what they are looking for.
Why not contact them again, acknowledging that they said no previously but that you notice something has changed with their profile and wold they now be interested? That way you remain polite and humble and unlikely to cause offense.
OR...in the time its taken to post this thread, wait for replies then decided what to do, you cold've emailed the person, gotten an answer and if its still a no, you haven't upset anyone and you've moved on. |
