Or who should make the decision? Been here a few years now and I always seem to be the one to make the decision on where to meet for the first social meet, the problem is that I have 2 jobs so finding the time is difficult and I am fed up with it to be honest.
So my question is, who should decide; the single male or the single female? And how does that work with couples? Do the male halves chat and work somewhere out or do the women wear the trousers |

It depends if it's a social meet or not. If it's social we ask the others for suggestions and offer one or two ourselves then decide between us all. If it's a play meet it's our place or theirs and that's decided at the social meet depending on all the various factors. |

I think it depends whose manor it is lol of someone is coming to my neck of the woods I'll suggest somewhere, of I am going to themi would expect them to.
If we are from the same area then we just make suggestions until we find somewhere we like. |

I must admit to being a bit confused by the whole 'social meet' thing as I think it has different conurtations for different people.
For some, the first meet is social and nothing more, for others it is a pre-cursor to a night of fun there and then and for others it starts off as one and finishes up as the other.
I prefer a social meet to be somewhere public and without expectation on the part of either party to play that day.
As for where, I am open to suggestions or happy to make them. |

I would always go to a social meet for just that. It would be extremely rare to do more, unless it had been discussed it was a possible outcome.
I tend to meet people in their area, so go with their suggestion. |

I have a short list of preferred venues for a social meet. They have to meet certain criteria: easy to find, plenty of parking, busy so we can talk without eavesdroppers, not to far for either of us to travel so if there's a no show not much of the day is wasted.
I'm having to consider retiring my most used spot as its in a major shopping centre and as Christmas approaches it's getting really busy and parking is a pain  |

depends on who want to meet whom i guess - if they are after/chasing you; then its your call to suit your plans and to satisfy your safety; same applies to most if not all females playing alone.  |

I decide when to meet, and it means weekends, as I do not work a normal 9-5 day.
Don't meet that often though as I'd rather spend the weekends to relax and catch up on my sleep.
