I'm tall. 6ft 2 in heels, 5ft 11 without.
I often get messages from guys saying they want to meet me but won't because I'm taller than them, or they just assume that I'd say no because they're shorter and apologise for it??
I've been to clubs and had guys message me the day after saying they saw me there, but were too intimidated by my height and size (I'm tall and built like a tank) to approach me because I was taller and they didn't think I'd be interested.
Is this really a problem? Do guys prefer women to be shorter than them? |

I'm 6'2 even taller in my heels but that doesn't seen to be a problem, the thing that is a problem is skirts and dresses that are quite short end up being very short when you are tall,miso much so that I have trouble with them covering my stocking tops |

Whilst I can't state for certain, I would suspect that many guys DO feel a little intimidated by a woman that is taller than them.
It strikes me as one of those "old fashioned" ideas that have been passed down, generation to generation.
I am 6ft 2 and some will think I have no experience of this situation, but before you comment to that point, I have date 2 women in the past that were a little taller than me (ok, they were both Dutch and that kind of height for a woman is not unusual)!
so not an issue for me personally, but I suspect i may be in the minority group on this one. |

I would never be intimidated by a tall woman. I’m relatively tall anyway but to me, height just isn’t a thing. Short or tall, I don’t care and it would never stop me approaching someone. |

At 5'3", all the ladies I've had the pleasure with have all been taller than me. As I also have a kink for stiletto heels it's nigh on impossible for me to find somwone smaller, not that I'm complaining  .

From society's point of view, it can be a problem for a woman to be taller than her partner. You actually often hear from women they prefer their partner to be taller. It doesn't matter to me, however, I can see why some men might be threatened by such present. |

Tall lady lover here! Saying that I’m 6”1 so not short, it’s always the short guys who are quick to say to tall ladies, “bloody hell your tall” like they have been completely unaware of the fact thier whole life! |

I’ll be honest and say I do prefer a woman to be shorter than me but I also haven’t really met many - any actually - women who would date a shorter guy.
The preference is more so pronounced from the women who opt for taller men in my experience. |

I've seen a few profiles of tall or reasonably tall women who insist that potential playmates have to be taller than them and quite clearly state "we're not all the same height lying down".
Also, the male ego is quite fragile and can be intimidated by a woman significantly taller than them.
I would love to meet a woman in heels that is taller than me as I always have to stoop. I'm not even overly tall!

A different take on this. I'm a short guy with a desrire to be with an Amazonian type tall woman. I don't expect this to happen anytime soon but it's something that's always been there, so no, not too tall here, I'd probably insist upon a higher set of heels  x |

I’m the same! And do find that some shorter guys will say they’re not bothered about the height difference! … with the intimidation, if a bloke is intimidated by me then he’s not the one

I'm going to guess that it's mostly men who consider themselves tall (but are actually just slightly above average) who will have a problem. I'm fairly short, I've dated and had (wonderful) sex with many ladies way taller then me. Although they mostly topped out at just under 6'. But even over, they'd still be ok lying over my lap
Actually from a physical perspective, I find doggy works better when the lady is slightly taller, my legs are straight, hers are at an angle...but I'm sure I can make it work any way. |

A persons height dosnt bother me and really wouldnt stop me asking her out.

That's sad! A is 5'5" but would never feel intimidated by a taller woman. Really don't understand this fascination with men having to be taller than women. Can appreciate it's preferance but we talk to/ play with people of all heights |

My wife, and all our female friends are at least 5' 8" and all wear at least 4" heels and I love being surrounded by these leggy lovelies one of them only meets men 6' 2"`+ yet she loves spending time with this short arse. Plus I can genuinely get away with talk to their cleavage when they are wearing heels!
There's nothing I can do about my height so it's never bothered me, if people have an issue with someones height it's THEIR PROBLEM not yours so don't worry about it, just move on to someone who doesn't have an issue with it.
Personally I think its rude to message and say someones too tall or short, its no different (IMO) to saying someones too fat or thin, which people can actually have some control over - unlike height!
