I was asked today if I could go back to the best year of my life when would it have been? It got me thinking, do you have a year you would go back to and what was special about that year?

The first year we lived in this house I think. We were mortgage free for the first time, the summer weather was glorious and life was good. I'm optimistic that there are more 'best years' to come so I wouldn't go back

When I was 18.

Everything was an adventure! Still is in a way.

No commitments.

I'd do things a bit differently. I wish I was 18 with the knowledge and confidence I have now

I definitely have a best year of my life but I’m not sure if I would re-live it. It wouldn’t be the same to repeat it.

I don't know if I'd go back, I'm having the time of my life now.I don't think I could pick just one year I've had a few but this year has been great and hopefully many more to come.

About 3 years ago when we came to live on a boat. Then COVID came along. Now things are looking up again and we moved our mooring 2 years ago to a nicer one.

This year could well be it

Isn't that the point. if you knew then what you know now then you wouldn't have done half the things you did and that year wouldn't have been half as much fun

1976.

Longest hottest summer ever.

19 years old. Not a care in the world, and shagging like a rabbit.

Me too, I'm having the time of my life. I'm glad to see so many positive replies, it's been a bad couple of years for many. May your happiness continue
