Advice from the Faberatti please!
We are entertaining on Saturday night and, as we have had to let the couple down twice due to Perky's recent bout of ill-health, to make up for it we are having them round for dinner before playtime...
Naturally, I would like it to be something nice, but obviously not too heavy so as to get in the way of a good evening...
Any suggestions....... ones that can actually be cooked......

Spinach,rocket & watercress with pancetta,soft poached egg n light dressing followed by chicken in white wine sauce and then chocolate mousse with cream n raspberries,mousse can always be licked off nipples,cocks etc!! |

I am crap at poached eggs, which is a tad ironic as that's my favourite way to eat the things. But I dooooo love your train of thought over the choccie mousse..... Mmmmmm..... Oh yes.....

When poaching an egg pork add a small drop of vinegar to the water stir it with a whisk to make a well and drop the egg in slowly the vinegar will help the white from seperating too much |

Does it have to be a particular vinegar? White, non-malted etc??? Did have a couple of goes with it, but to no avail....

Lol I don't have a budget either, but then I'm not feeding 4 people (just me) M&S Beef wellington is well worth the money, at £11 for two, but it is totally yum |

I would stay clear of garlic tbh even though it is a great flavour, it is not particulary suitable for meets. I know it should not matter when everybody had it... but... some people have sensitive noses (I do) and it would put me off playing. |

Oh Gawd, I'd be in 7th bleedin heaven with that! Don't know about them though - best check. Seafood not everyone's cup of tea.
I already know that Pork is a no-no, which made me wonder if I wouldn't be gettin' any come Saturday night....

Just a suggestion but I'd different tapas dishes. People can pick and choose how much they eat and it really helps the convo flow just picking at different bits and having to pass the dishes to each other. Just my two pennies worth. |

Lightly simmered baked beans
A side serving of French fries ( oven chips)
With a light drizzle of tommy sauce

Sliced prosciutto, sliced peaches with mozzarella on a bed of lettuce, and a dash of vinaigrette. Chicken breast in white wine sauce with fresh baby sweet corn and mange tout. Definitely lemon sorbet to clear the palette. After that, bring out the strawberries and melted choc. all nice and light until the chocolate. |

I like making chocolate fondants too lovely and moist on the outside gooey and chocolatey in the middle with a spoon of vanilla ice cream and a single raspberry on top, if you want the recipe mail me x |

Scrub the choc, even better, deep fried ice cream balls. Frikkin amazing!!
