Definitely, and I wink people. It shows I’m interested in chatting. If only more ladies and couples would answer them. We are not lazy, sometimes a little shy or not good at messaging. |

Always look at them. They are a good way to see that someone is interested. The problem is, that some do and some don't, so damned if you do, damned if you don't. We see them as a good thing, as long as you have read the profile first and digested the content. |

"Interested to know as personally I do. Just wanted other peoples thoughts on them. "
Yes. I also send them myself. They're an indication of possible interest and I always check and reply to any near that I fancy following up. Unfortunately many are much too far away. Sometimes I do send an acknowledgement to those I'm not interested in, if they have a profile I would be interested in if they were nearer. Who knows they could be planning to visit my area. |

"I do ... prefer them to messages! Check out their profile, if they're even in the same county and I like their profile I'll wink back and chat
Much less invasive than a message and the decision to chat is mine ... win win "

We pretty much always look at a couples profile if we get a wink, guess something in our profile must have made them want to attract our attention.
Depends if we have matching "interests " if we wink back or message |

Thanks for all the responses. I genuinely appreciate it all. It sounds as though people have totally mixed thoughts on this….. which I’m not surprised by really. It’s just something I was wondering about so as always thought it better to ask.
Again thank you for the feedback |

No the only time I open the wink tap is to delete them all and the same goes for my single profile.
The friend request gets the same treatment delete all. |

I've just looked and I have 132 new winks. Would you expect me to check out all those profiles?
I've never winked and I very rarely look. I never respond to a wink either. |

We send winks as an expression of interest. We both look at the winks as we see it the same thing and delete as we see fit.
It may be lazy/subtle but some of the best things are.

"We do it’s to break the ice instead of messaging and getting no reply "
This, more than happy to do a personal message to someone if they are interested but not going to waste time doing one if it's going to be ignored. Better things to do with my time! |

But you're happy for the winkee to look at 132 profiles to find out if they are worth contacting? |

Entirely their choice, if they don't want to then no worries from me. I do a few occasional one off messages for couples that fit my criteria but as most get ignored it's easier for me me to wink and hope someone is interested enough to wink back and then I'll start a conversation. |

I'd say you've got more chance of a wink being ignored than a message. |

I don't doubt it! However I dont really have the time nor inclination to write loads of personal messages, particularly as I like to make them all individual rather than a standard copy and paste. As far as messaging goes it's quality not quantity however a quick wink is also a sign that I like someone's profile. It's quick and easy to do and statistically I'll get some responses, even if it's just a look. Anyway, neither messaging or winking has proved hugely successful so what do I know! |

We like winks, though as we're currently not looking, a wink or a perfectly crafted message will make no difference.
When we are looking, we're happy to reply to a wink by winking back, if we're interested.
We've had a couple of very good meets begin exactly that way. |

I never really check them until there's quite a few there. I think if you make time to wink, then yo in can make time to send a quick message. Winks are just lazy x |
