"What’s the etiquette? Our attitude is, if you ask for face pics, we expect you to send them first. Is this fair enough or is there some other unwritten rule such as whomever makes contact first?"
I think that's fair if you want to make contact then you should be the one sending the photo first. I know I always do. |

Personally I think both apply, if I'm interested enough to message someone I wouldn't expect them to provide a face pic unless I'd shared mine first.
If someone contacts me asking for a face pic without providing one themselves, they're ignored! |

Absolutely face pic 1st mine by return is my answer. Also many complaints have been made when people don't have them on a profile but if you have ever had a picture stolen and put all over social media you too woukd be careful |

There are no rules. I don't approach fab with any expectations. If someone else's way of doing fab doesn't fit with my way it's no biggie, they just aren't for me. |

Generally it’s not an issue with single males who, being so massively outnumbered here, are happy to jump through hoops. The problem comes with other couples and female accounts who are used to the above and then don’t want to be the first to do it |

People can complain as much as they want I don't want a face photo on my public photos. What gets me are couples and single ladies who write on their profile that no public face photo no reply yet they don't have one themselves. |

Completely agree. Asking for a facepic without first providing one is rude. |

We think the person making contact initially should send a face picture as they showed interest first x |

That’s interesting. We had a scenario where we simply paid someone a compliment as the first point of contact - no real intention of requesting a meet or anything. They then asked for a face pic. We said you go first and they blocked us lol |

If I am messaging someone then I usually attach one straight awa in the first message, that way they can make the decision to reply or not. Figured it is the lesser of two evils, rather be ignored for being ugly than chatting to someone and then ignored for being ugly. |

Its great when folk apply the filter for us Like that. We don't mind if folk don't like the look of us and block. We know we are respectful, reliable and very laid back. We have our face pics in friends section so ask if they send theirs we'll accept a friend request to see ours. We will have chatted a bit to see if they are respectful and as genuine as we can make out before face pics are thrown out. After all if you are going to send them on a whim you may as well have them public |

I think women and couples are naturally more careful about sharing face pics, I mean how often do you see guys getting slut shamed or having their collection of pics posted online or fake social media profiles made using their pics? But women on the other hand can have a rough time for those reasons.
Personally I only show my face pic if the recipient is photo verified or has solid verifications from real people, and secondly if I'm interested in a meet. Typically other people make the first move, but occasionally I initiate things first.
If a guy shows me his face pics and its clearly a no go for me, I don't share mine back. May seem harsh but I'm trying to look after myself on and offline, limit my exposure to the few nob heads that are intent on being malicious.

If someone messages me unsolicited and decides to send me a face pic then it is unlikely I would send one in return.
I didn't ask for a face picture.
If I had been messaging with someone and asked for a face pic I would send one to them when I asked. |

Totally agree OP.
There are so many profiles that demand a face pic with the first message you send them, but then you look and they don’t have a face pic or indeed any pics on their profile!
Those ones are best avoided in my view! |

I think we all want to see a face pic. I totally don't mind and I think it's something for fairly early on if things are potentially promising. However the whole face pic first thing I find is a bit vulgar. Do prefer to build some kind of basic rapport and judge come kind of compatability before handing face pics to strangers off the Internet. |

We just had face pics from a guy this morning. First message face pic, obviously didn't read profile as he's asking for a f##k meet and refers himself as the sperminater. How do you all think we dealt with that??? Did we send a face pic back or block??? |

Sperminater?... Pah! It's not as good as Pussypounder .
We think whoever made contact first should send pics first if they're serious about meeting, and that does normally happen. However we've had a few profiles make initial contact to us and then ask if we've got face pics. To which we reply "Yes we do". |

I agree with OP - its only fair that each see who your chatting to - but be aware some people cheat and lie about pics and they could be years and years old
