Abusive message

Deal

So, got home from work to read a message from a guy who has "offered" to meet me, objecting to my current status. Don't need the hassle so I blocked him. Less than an hour later, he has messaged me from another profile and I can honestly say it was the most abusive, personal vile attack I have ever had. I have obviously reported and blocked that profile, just left me shaken and hoping that admin will deal with him accordingly, I have kept the message, not that I ever want to read it again!!

Thankfully they are in the minority. Hope you are able to deal with it quickly and efficiently. Hopefully you reported his original profile too. x

What a dickhead!

Fortunately these seem to be a rare occurrence.

People like that shouldn't be allowed on here x

Just imagine if you’d met him At least he’s shown his true colours and hopefully gets a ban.

Hopefully this’ll be a one off for you Op.

Horrible individual, but thankfully they are relatively rare. Report, block, and put it out of your mind as best you can is all you can really do. Sending you positivity to make up for it!

They are starting to become rife on here those that send abusive messages if you say no to them or something along those lines

You did right by reporting and blocking.I would send the message on with the report then delete it and not give it another minutes thought. They send this to get a reaction or to upset you so moving on from it is the best thing you can do safe in the knowledge you make the right choice at the start. He's just a knobend and not worth your time.

There are some horrible people here who need to be taught some manners....maybe with a bit of 2 by 4

You need to rise above and just think that he is a pathetic little twonk ( not sure that's a word but it sounds right) who at best will get a tug from him self tonight and no one else

Chin up forget him and move on

The mad thing is folk can be blocked and banned etc etc and just re open another profile within minutes..

Thats not a guess or assumption either as i know of men and women that have 2 or 3 profiles running permanently to get around bans and blocks.

Wow I’m so sorry you had that experience! What a total dick but equally a lucky escape for you. Just a suggestion, but if he’s in the habit of opening numerous accounts it may be worthwhile you setting your filters so newbies can’t contact you in the first instance. L x

That sounds like it would meet the criteria for the criminal offence of harassment, police around here would take that seriously.

i screenshot abusive messages and put them away in a folder along with face pic or profile pics because more often than not they come back with more normally via a new account ..

i view it as a great filter that they can show there true colors

I know that feeling , I find that I mask my feelings, I find it tough to open up & I dont even know know how to cry , I dont know if its the thought of looking daft, part of my Autism or its just a man thing. I will admit when i see friends with their girlfriends/ wifes I do get jealous.

Sorry to read this. I had something similar… the extremely abusive message ended with the guy telling me to go and play on the motorway. It shook me up quite a bit. Admin were brilliant. Thankfully these people are few and far between but I am definitely more wary now. I hope you are able to continue on your Fab journey

Somewhere off the edge of the map... 'ere there be monsters

To all who receive such messages, just remember that it has nothing at all to do with yourselves, but is 100% a reflection on them. Their ego is fragile and they’re deeply insecure and are lashing out. It’s about them, not you.

That doesn’t stop it being unpleasant to experience in the moment, of course, but just report, block and move on. Not worth any more of your time and energy.

It's disgraceful how some people behave on here, especially men with a fragile ego.

There should be a name and shame thread on here.

On the conversation, just by the block, reply, delete bit there's like a grey colour report link, if you click it you'll be able to report

I’m terribly sorry you had to put up with this behaviour. As others have said, you have dodged a bullet there, anyone who pursues a member through an alternate account once they have been blocked clearly doesn’t understand that no means no. Anyone receiving messages like this should absolutely report this behaviour and get these people off this site.

Nobody, especially single women, should get subjected to such behaviour.

Naming and shaming is difficult because it has to be monitored and checked to ensure it is not malicious

Once again I'm sorry uou we're subjected to this

Unfortunately this unacceptable behaviour is not just limited to this site. It occurs everywhere on other platforms too.

But being able to block and report the offender is positive, then move on if you can.

It's impossible. If you ban somebody they simply create a new email address and new profile.

Just had one now !!!

Asked me to meet for bb, I told him no, it’s not going to happen. He then demanded I meet him for bb as it’s what was going to happen, I once again declined his tactful offer. Then I got another message calling me every name under the sun !! He wasn’t that good though as he’d missed a name or two lol !!

However, duly blocked and reported. Can’t understand what people think when they send the messages they do !

i screenshot every single one if there's face pics ill screen shot them too many times they rejoin and try again or more creepy they pretent they are someone else to try and meet ....

we learnt our lesson with the stalker someone id met but did not want to meet again did damage to my car and to our house he was a bit thick tho cause he was using his work van and was at hinkley too... well we got the police involved he had to pay for the damage he lost his contracy at hinkley and further more it followed him home to his wife and family he lost that too...

the police were brill .. we had cameras fitted to cover the whole house and now any abuse is screen shot just in case it turns out to be another stalker situation .... ill not hesitate again it will be getting the police involved ...these people must know they cant do this plus they think they are hidden behind a keyboard but in fact your not
