People see winks as:
a. A harmless way to break the ice and express interest without the hassle of drafting a lengthy message that won't get read.
b.Lazy.
People use winks because:
a. It's a harmless way of breaking the ice.
b. Saves typing a massive message, trying to be original for it to be :
1. Deleted.
2. Accused of being cut and paste.
c. Because they know you aren't what they are looking for but always worth a punt.
d. because anyone with a pulse is fair game.
Some people:
a. love winks.
b. loathe winks.
Not a comprehensive list but its a tool of the site to use as you see fit. |

I see a wink from a lady as "come on then, try me, buster". They're very rare though. It would be nice if they were a signal of interest from a lady or couple, but then I guess the idiot tendency on here would take that as a green light for their pushy attitude... |

I like a wink. As above, if you send one and get one back then ypu have kind of broken the ice. It is lile the smile across the crowded room.
But also very aware that most are unseen and many see it as lazy.
Cant please everyone |

We are all different, we all have different thoughts on winks. They are not bad, they are not good. Just a way to say, Hi, I like you. What’s the harm in that? |

Any time I give a wink, it's meant as a compliment for the profile and pictures as a whole.
Sometimes I've messaged a couple just to say their pictures are really great.
Either way, it's always meant as a compliment |
