Hey, I was just wondering have any girls or guys done this?? What was it like?
I'm quite hairy - it's dense and coarse and has a huge impact on my self esteem lol
I've tried veet cream and it just left me with stubble which was a bummer lol |

Not tried any epilating, but I do seem to spend a lot of time trimming and shaving.
Don't let your body hair affect your self esteem - some people love it !
You just need to know your audience |

epilating is basically a form of plucking ie pulling hairs out by the root. and yes it can be painful. I prefer it to waxing as the results are better and longer lasting also less messy |

Stick to a good quality razor and cool gel plus add some either E45 or AloaVera cream afterwards to sooth
i shave quiet happily twice a week or just before a meeting and i swear by old fashioned methodes

Getting tattoo'd hurts LESS than epilating in my opinion... I don't know if that gives you a rough idea.
It depends on where you plan on using it tbh, like all things it takes some getting used to and I think it may be an idea to go for a wax first, give it some time and then start slowly with the epilator on the NEW hair regrowth (it hurts a lot less this way).
Works much better after a hot shower.

I epilate but then I'm a girlie and only do legs and pits.
A word of warning. If you decide to try, make sure you stretch the skin out as there is a risk of 'soft' skin getting caught in the mechanism. |

"Another thing - do the men on here use women's epilators?
Any recommendations for a specific model?"
I wasn't aware they did epilators for men. Just googled it.
I would always go for Braun though. Have had mine for 4 years now. - My sister has had a few different ones throughout the years including Philips and Panasonic but she always goes back to nicking mine because it works better and has better results.

"Why don't you get a bodygroom for men.....
Works a treat ! Trims, shaves and very quick without pain or rashes etc"
I think he's after a long-term thing that he doesn't need to do regularly and won't speed up/thicken hair-growth. x |

Better off with getting lazer or waxing ...
The dipolation shavers are ok for womens legs but wouldn't use on other body parts...ouchh |

Yeah, I would've thought waxing. I can't imagine the OP wanting his legs or his armpits done so to me that would only suggest chest/stomach/back... x |

I was fully covered at age 13. PE in high school was not a fun experience when you're hairier than everyone... Including the teachers... Put together! |
