Having just watched that dire film 'Swinging with the Finkles' Frisky has decided that swinging is so last centry...
She thinks it should be called 'Swapsies' sorry her idea not mine....
Does anyone else think swinging could do with an updated name?

I watched it at the weekend.
Even as a single I was a little disappointed at the 'we'll have sex with someone else to try and make our relationship better' attitude.
That's how it came across to me,anywho.Still, can't whinge-Mandy Moore kept me entertained |

"How about multi coloured swap shop? Call it doing a Noel for short...lol
In France they call exchangists(sp?)"
'échangisme' is the act, the people are 'échangistes'
P.S. I'm in France right now

The name 'swinging' came from 1970s California, when younger always associated it with that picture in the original "Joy of Sex" book of heavily bearded hippy men and women with hairy armpits and thick bushes entwined while somebody played the guitar. That's probably why the Americans now call it 'the lifestyle'. We do like the French name though, and also like their word for an orgy - "partouze" which sounds sexier. |
