On a social level because women dislike being regarded as objects for sex and pieces of meat.
Women tend to like some respect, attraction and a connection. Men want a pulse, the requisite holes and someone not too hideous. The last point is negotiable if their mates won't find out.

I'd probably have to agree with that statement. In most animal circles, you'll typically see that when it comes to reproduction, the males involvement is usually just to provide the sperm then disappear, its the female who has to go through the process of pregnancy, acquiring enough food to allow those babies to develop fully, giving birth to them then having to feed and protect them until they're strong enough to look after themselves, so naturally they're only going to want the sperm of the most virile suitor possible in order to make such a hefty investment worthwhile. |
