"Almost time for our reg Sti test, when did you last have yours"?
Is our current status. We've had a few pm's asking for more info. So thought we'd put it out to everyone.
Google, SH24 test. Its a free postal service, you fill in online details. Recive a text to confirm it's you. Test arrives a day or 2 later in post. Males, pee in a pot, females swab. You can op for the finger prick blood test too. You post back. Results are texted back with a few days.
Package is fairly plain, dosnt have advertisment splashed all over. Looks like a pcr test bag. They keep you updated by text when they have sent / received your test. Its free and confidentaul. Although you do need to give them a mobile number and address.
We test every 3 months with out fail. This is not to discuss safe / no safe play ect. We're all adults. We make the decsision to play. We should all take responisbilty to test and know our sexual health status. |

Those postal kits are very handy. For Bedford, it used to be iCaSh, but they changed to Sh last year. Had my latest tests last week, with the results available on Monday. I even managed to fill the vial with just one finger prick! Lol.
The only thing I don't like is that in order to read your results, you need to log into your account. But I guess that offers more privacy than a text with your results. |

I'd been going to the GUM clinic as my area wasn't available for home testing. Just checked again having seen this and yep, ordered. Thank you for the info. |

I've been celibate for 2 years and wasn't shagging around when I was in the related before the celibacy. However, I've not been tested since the relationship ended due to covid. I could have been left with a parting gift. Just coz I've been celibate 2 years don't mean shit. |

Yes but it clearly says it’s used to test for syphillis and HIV not gonorrhoea |

Hopefully all post codes will have access soon! Although I was able to get the freetest.hiv delivered which was super quick! Otherwise it’s sexual health clinics! Safe shagging everyone  |

My local area has just switched to this after previously running their own home testing service. It was all very smoothe and easy though they're quite heavy on the text messages  . Worse things in the world though. |

Excelent, we we're due to test just into first lockdown. Found SH24 online, and contunue to use it instead of gum now. Much eaiser than trying to get phone slot booking, parking ect. We also test on every 3,6,9 & 12th month. Know where we are then.

The home tests are good but depending on who you are and what your history is they sometimes only test for one thing.
In that case they can miss so many things and give a false sense of security.
Do them but ideally get a full screen from a GUM clinic on occasion too |

That will change soon. "Local" CCGs are combining and coming under one large national group. |

We test every 3 months with CNWL sexual health clinic’s postal service.
2 days after the test is posted we get a message like below;
“CNWL msg: Your Chlamydia,Gonorrhoea,Syphilis & HIV results are all clear. Thanks.”
Very reassuring and we also have a yearly check up. |

Surely between us if one of the forum can't get a delivery to their postcode someone could post onwards for them? We are happy to post on if requested.
Having been subjected to the humility of trying to get an appointment at a clinic and the condescending looks he was given by the female staff at the clinic when his ex wife in a supposedly monogamous relationship gave him an STI Viking was more than happy to mutually prove to both his girlfriends since that he was now clean using the SH kits.
We would both be totally content to take regular tests if we have extra partners  |

SH24 and SH.UK are not available in Birmingham. The umbrella service in Birmingham takes up2 10 days to arrive and over a week for the results to come back. At the moment it's hard 2 get a face 2 face appointment its like the gp a nurse calls u back to see if u need an appointment. Hopefully they open up the online bookings again soon |

Following on from the other thread, do people only test every three months if they're having safe sex? If I ever go raw then I always test before my next meet.
Three months is better than none at all but just wondered why the three month number. |

Because when receiving Prep your kidney function is monitored every 3 months... but there's nothing to stop you getting more regular tests if you feel it's necessary |

We only play safe but testing gives us peace of mind for other communicable diseases.
The 3 month period for us is convenient and nicely ties in with the incubation period quoted for most serious STD’s.
We’d be happy to test more frequently if necessary. |

Sh24 reccomend every 3 months due to the incubation period. That's why we test every 3, even when not meeting and playing safe. |

I'm Glad to see that this post has reminded a few. Some have found postal testing now in their area after reading this post.
However I'm shocked by the areas that arn't covered, like out back in the sticks Leeds ect. I'm just hoping that people jump on google and find another postal service in their area. Or good old GUM clinics. As least you get a goody bag for going in.
As some asked why every 3 months? It's recommended by clinics every 3 due to incubation period. Even if you play safe or oral only, it's body fluid, you need to test. Or if you've got symtoms inbetween the 3 months, you can test. You don't have to wait. |

Never had a goody bag. Just disgusted looks and comments from the nurse when I said I'd shagged more than 1 man.
Many people just don't bother getting tested unless they have serious symptoms. |

Have you tried Spectrum at Trinity Walk in Wakefield? They’re great and they were doing home kits to take away recently. As well as goody bags. I’ve always found them to be really friendly and non-judgmental xx |
