Is swinging like a drug?

Do any thoughtful types find that swinging is like a drug or intoxicant that we use to achieve endorphin release and then reflect on on in moments of sobriety?

An interesting concept/theory and no doubt true in some cases.

To us though, it is fun, pure and simple. We're only on this planet once and why not get as much out of it as possible. We enjoy meeting people and we enjoy sex, experimenting and pushing the fun boundaries.

Swinging is our way of life so nothing to reflect on really and we hope it never stops.

Not really because it's not even in my top 5 priorities.

I enjoy it very much but I don't need it.

I would consider this website is more similar to a drug to some, more so than swinging itself.

But for the main point OP, I suppose it will be to many. Like alot of other things, some people will struggle to see if it truly improves their life / increases self-happiness but it will be different things to various people. Some I have met certainly love it and some clearly can’t walk away without seeing it negatively impact their happiness. The whole spectrum really.

It's addictive if you have an addictive personality. When it was more prevalent I would do anything to go dogging, start rows on purpose to create an opportunity to storm off, even went as far as paying a monthly gym subscription in the pretence of visiting the 24/7 gym late at night.Moderation is the key

Yes for those of us who suffer from dependency problems and addictive personalities. I often think my behaviour is out of control.

It isn't complicated for us. We both enjoy sex, we trust each other, we get off on watching each other with different partners, we like challenging each other's boundaries.

We have our rules, mainly to keep Clare safe but also so she knows where I am should she need me. We have a great swinging relationship and a lot of fantastic swinging friends.

But we also have a life away from swinging too and I love the balance we have.

Certainly our bdsm play can feel like that. Lots lf associated feelings including sub and Dom drop. Sex, not so much. I enjoy it, but I love coming home to just Sir for a little while too.
