Has anybody used the natural cycles app/kit ? My partner isnt on the pill and sent me the link to this, seems too good tp be true that just a temp check can determine wether your fertile or not (safe to not use a condom with partner)
Seems abit too good to be true so any sucess using it before we purchase.. |

I've used this method successfully for years. But it takes an awfully long time to really learn your cycle well enough for it to be effective and even then it's riskier than alternative methods of contraception. I would only only ever suggest it with a long term partner.
It works for me as I lose my sex drive on hormonal contraception but appreciate it's not a viable option for most.

I have real issues with most forms of contraception, my body doesn't react well to them. I've relied on the calendar method (and pull out during my fertile days) in the past. It's works pretty well actually. Although having said that I did end up having a child when using this method but I think that was my fault mixing up the dates. Getting an app or clock is a good idea xx |

It could be reliable but takes some time getting to know your cycle.
Women are only able to get pregnant about 5/6 days during the month so it's just a case of figuring when those fertile days are
Or if you're worried you could use condoms or pull out |

My cycle is to temperamental to use this method but I have a friend who has used it successfully.
As others have said you need to really know your cycle. I had to get a coil as it was the safest method for me. |

Its OK if you accept a much higher risk of pregnancy I guess.
Aside from the comments already made. Sperms can remain viable for several days inside her reproductive tracts.
And pulling out during fertile periods is a recipe for disaster.
Even trace amounts of pre-cum can transfer enough sperms to cause pregnancy....
If you two are that set against birth control, just stick to oral and anal and you'll be fine |

She isbt against BC its more the fact they didnt agree with her body hence why she isnt on BC. She tried different pills and none really agreed with her body so for the sake of sex it wasnt fair to keep taking it just so we could have unprotected sex.
Other forms of BC like the coil, injection she has thought about but again the side effects outweigh the pros. She hasnt been on the pill for 10yrs. |
