Guys do you like ladies messaging first or would you prefer to message? Does it come over confident or pushy? Ladies do you message first or do you wait for messages? |

I'd love a woman to message first, as I think most men would.
It doesn't come across as pushy, just confident and would actually make me feel really desired.
I'd probably have a grin on my face for the rest of the day  |

I make the effort to message but sometimes don't find it's reciprocated. I take that as they're not interested but I'm happy to message first and have done  |

It seems like women get so many messages, they have enough trouble getting through them, let alone finding the time to prospect. I don’t message a lot, but most never even get read |

I'd prefer it if women messaged first as you'd know with a little more certainty that they're into you.
I have had a few message first which don't have tv/ts on their profile so I would never have messaged them normally so that helps a lot, many won't have tv/ts on their profile and I do understand why a lot of the time. |

Don't mind either way. It does get frustrating though when you take the time to write a message, then to find it never gets opened. Guess it's just down to the numbers some people get. |

Messages from ladies or couples first means you have had your profile reead and they may be interrested to me. Someoen has to mke the first move and sometimes we never look at who's viewed me etc |

I think, most guys would be made up to receive a message off a single lady. You never know the guy may of already looked at your profile and thought there not what your looking for. Maybe its time more Women messaged men and show us how its done. Seeing were so bad at it |

I not only like ladies messaging first but prefer it, from the outset it means you have passed their scrutinisation and they want to know more. It doesn't happen often but neither does getting a reply from sending loads. It just suggests a they already like the look of you. Always happy to receive more |

I find the whole "guys have to message first" terribly dated, conservative, and frankly odd for a site where people are supposed to "break the rules" of vanilla behaviour. |

I haven't sent a first contact message on here since January 2020 so every conversation in the last 2 years has been initiated by others.
It works for me but may not for everyone.
I let my profile and forum engagement speak for themselves and anyone that is interested enough gets in touch.
I'm not saying I'm inundated with messages and only average one new message a month but I'm ok with that as it allows me to focus on each conversation rather than firing off messages just for the sake of it. |

I tend to message first if I'm actively looking to talk to people/I find them interesting. Normally I try and make it less of a cold call of a message so related to a thread or a status or a game (although sometimes I'm just doing the game!).
I've yet to be turned down/rejected and I've been here for too many years. Probably because most of the time they see it as me being cute and friendly, nothing more. |

Tend to find that any message chain from females regardless of who send the first message quickly end up with us driving the conversation with them responding with one word or two word sentences so we quickly lose interest. |

I message first. Works out best this way for me on Fab.
Also necessity as filters are up to block incoming messages
