No, they are perfectly comfortable to wear. There's various styles, but the best in my opinion is a triple that goes over both, and the cock and the balls, all joined together in a prism. Watch out for ring clash, don't want your skin pinched.
As with all steel rings, only in front of your balls.
Best put on dry, warm them up in hot water.
