Something we played around with recently and had great fun doing it.
Our first was a clear plastic one with a few adjustable rings. Don't go to small straight away, get one that restricts but is still comfortable enough for a first time experiment.
Plenty of cheap ones on ebay etc to play around with.
Bit of lube when putting it on and patience may be needed if he gets a little excited when trying to fit it

Both plastic and metal here. Both have their pro's and cons, but I'd suggest a plastic one to begin with. If you're going cheap to try it out, be careful of unfinished edges. My plastic one was much more comfortable once I'd softened the edges somewhat.

you can prevent a proper erection buy tying a stocking around teh base of your cock and balls tightly and then pulling it tightly back between your legs uo your crack and tied off at the waistband of your thong . Stainless steel is the way to go , easy to clean and if you get the correct size rear ring ( 50mm) you can leave on for ages , plus try to get one with built in lock ( looks tidier) 2nd pic on our profile is our best one so far xx |

I’ve put a few photos up.
Black resin Kink3D - really comfortable. Lots of size options for ring and cage. Integrated lock. Issue is the price and you have to import it from America.
Clear plastic CB6000s - comes with lots of parts to get a good size but overly complicated and not brilliantly comfortable, no airflow. Needs lots of cleaning. Don’t like the external padlock.
Metal Ali Express - this was about £20 and it’s actually been very good too although did need some filing to remove a rough joint. Love the weight of it and knowing it’s there. Integrated lock is nice.

We bought a couple of metal bird cage style cages from lock the cock and we're very happy with service. But the last cage we bought never arrived and lock the cock have ignored 3 emails. £45 down the drain.
Hubby tried the CB6000 plastic from another website but it broke first use. Then tried the metal version but the ring sizes are odd. Either to small or can easily slip out.
We have a couple of interesting ones of amazon that were very cheap.

Depending how your budget is, I'd maybe try Aliexpress as you can find some very cheap cages on there. Only trouble is it takes up to a couple of weeks to get here. Usually worth the wait though.
Different styles to choose from.
