He was way into his 60s but pretending to be my age , so added over 20 years
I cannot see the point of lying about anything of yourself, if people dont want it then let them move on |

My age is my real one, no point lying and if someone lies about a small thing, I'd wonder what else they've lied about.
Seen a man in my updates change his before and say I'm not 40 im 53, but that stops me messaging some.

I don't think lying about their age necessarily means they lie more than anyone else. We don't state our real names of location in our profile, we'd never say what our jobs were and the day and month of our birthdays aren't the actual ones although the year is. We want to be able to plausibly deny that the profile belongs to us if needs be. |

"I must be really naive, It didn’t even enter my mind people wouldn’t put a real age on here, I mean, you’re gonna tell if you meet surely?!"
Some people genuinely believe they don't look their age. Some people don't it's true but some are quite optimistic |

We use our real ages (well one of us is a couple of months out) but we've come across quite a few users who say they are younger. We would guess that some have faked being quite a lot younger.
We're wondering at what age we should start pretending to be younger... |
