You mean, they wink you - you guys wink back, then they don't do anything else? We get that all the time, makes no sense to us.. .we expect if we responde to a wink with a wink, for the winkers to then send us a message.....seems normal to is....  |

I'm a winker and if I get a wink I always message and if I wink and receive a wink back I message. Even if its just to say thanks.
Some see it as being lazy on here, I see it as an icebreaker.
Not all on here are confident enough to start straight with a message. |

If I wink at a profile and they wink back, I send the first message.
If someone winks at me and I wink them back, I hope they send the first one but they rarely do.

I know winks aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but personally I thinks it’s a nice little “ I’ve noticed you “ type of thing, it’s nice when you get one back and the conversation then starts  |

I wink in two cases:
- I like profile. If I get wink back, I’ll text
- if I see don’t wink in profile desc. You are not anyone to set rules here, I wink when I want
If I get a wink and I like profile, I’ll wink back and expect message but sadly rarely getting it  |

I was using a browser that didn't allow the wink button to work, so for two months I thought I was winking but bugger all was happening!! 
I wink if I like the look of a profile in general, and hope for a wink back or a message. Most of the time I have no explicit reason to message them, but I think a wink sort of registers an interest?? |

In ten years I've never sent a wink and never responded to one, too much faffing when I can just send a message.
Besides, I've got no time to go through 50 winks a day from men who wink with impunity. |

Winks are appreciated and a good ice breaker but with no follow up message its a bit like “ermm Okayyy lol” but a few pop back up |

We rarely wink, when we do, if they wink back, we are that as a prompt for us to send the first message.
We check winks when we're seeking, if we find there a profile that catches or attention, we'll wink back to prompt then to make the first move regarding messages.
Over the years, a few of our best meets began this way. |

I'd agree with this. Nothing worse than taking your time to write an opening msg just to get ignored. Even worse if you have taken your time and read there profile and obeyed the rules. Like put hippopotamus in tag line so we know you have read this and attach 5 face pics |
