In my experience, they just want pictures of your cock and to see vids of you cumming / wanking.. any suggestion of a group chat gets explained away by the idea that you'd flirt behind the man's back or something dumb like that. |

Check verifications and check the people doing the verifications.
Look carefully at the pics and work out if they are the same people in them - we've found guys pretending to be couples and called them out on differences between pics of the female half.
Beware of them asking for details of exactly what you want to do with the female half. We avoid all "dirty" talk in chat.
And trust your gut....generally works.

Ask them to send you address, bank details and passport. And then ask them to film a video showing you their faces with a tin of Heinz baked beans and Heinz ketchup. If they don't do this they are fake.

Do they use both names when signing the message.
I like to send a message saying how are you both and if I get a message back saying that I am fine not we are fine then it sends alarm bells x

You can follow all the "rules" of spotting couples that aren't really couples and still get stung.
I was part of a "couple" once. We had a profile, were photo and meet verified etc.
However if you'd met us, you'd have found out just like I did when lockdown kicked in that we weren't a "real" couple and may well have felt misled.....much the same as I did, coz once he could no longer sneak around all cheaty he had to face the truth and that was that he was still in a vanilla relationship with his wife and I was the side piece. |

Number 1 rule for me, they have to be on a couple’s profile…. No exceptions.
Things that are very dubious
1) no picture verification
2) no meet veri’s or last veri is a long time ago (so may not be together anymore)
3) asking to move onto kik or WhatsApp convo (especially when you haven’t messaged each other much)
4) the type of language and tone used..
5) not providing pics via fabs…
A lot of good advice from the others here. Also gut instinct will help you spot the fakes.

It could be an emergency at work and really last minute so too late to rearrange as the person you’re meeting is already nearly there. And you’ve arranged to meet at a coffee shop where you’re really good friends with the owner so there’s someone there keeping an eye out for you. |

It takes all the stress out of it to be honest, I don’t have to create a thread asking for advice on my profile or complaining that I’m not getting any replies because those things only matter if you actually intend to meet someone and risk being let down. I just message people randomly and I don’t even bother looking to see if they reply because if I get caught up in a conversation things can easily snowball and before I know it I’ll be getting let down by a meet dropping out at the last minute. |

It's very easy to find out as some members have raised few points on how to spot fake ones.
1) different pics of women (lifted from the net)
2) photo verified
3) verification trails, you can easily spot the fake veris .
4) language used in messages . That's an easy give away.
5) total ignorance to their wife's where abouts.
6) chat seems interested only in your female .

I don’t have android which probably explains why I don’t know anything about it. Luckily I have absolutely no need to clone apps so it doesn’t matter to me.
It seems as though pretty much everyone on Kik is fake now, it’s got so much worse recently, I get suspicion of anyone who suggests chatting there to be honest. Especially the ones who suggest it after 2 or 3 messages. |

When we ask them to facetime on WhatsApp and Skype, they just chicken out .lol

I'm not sure anything is perfect. We tend to go by:
1) Gut feeling
2) Recent verifications ?
3) Photo verified
4) Gut feeling
5) Kik group chat
6) Terminology used in chat
7) Gut feeling
8) Actually meeting in person
Number 8 is the only way to really know. I suppose webcams would be an added option, but lots of people don't like talking on them.
To be honest, if I met someone and they'd been running two kik accounts convincingly, I'd either buy them a drink and congratulate their hard work, or lamp them and report them on fab. I suspect that takes a certain level of sociopathy! |

We would not give out our number before a meet (well, Alice wouldn't), so whatsapp is out. And, we have never facetimed either, as one of us is not really comfortable with it.
I guess we could send a photo of us with today's newspaper. But I find using the couple's password much easier!
Seriously though, we go by intuition too, which gets sharpened after a while here. And we never meet anyone without verifications. |

When I found out through another couple ,I was shocked too.
So tried opening a new account on my phone and it worked .
It comes as parallel Kik or parallel WhatsApp .

I hope you don’t mind me asking you this, and I’m in now way making any sort of accusations....how come you only have pictures of the female on your profile, apart from a couple of dick pics of the male? I’m only asking because I’m genuinely interested in the reason as I see a lot of couples profiles with only pictures of the female and never understand why there’s non of the male. If I was going to meet a couple I’d want to know what the male looks like as well as the female. |

I’m only asking because I’m genuinely interested in the reason as I see a lot of couples profiles with only pictures of the female and never understand why there’s non of the male. Ok, cool, thanks for answering. You don’t have to use naked pictures though, you could be fully dressed and therefore hiding your body and tattoos (your profile says you don’t have tattoos by the way). You could still have plenty of pictures showing off your partner alongside a few pictures of you and it wouldn’t stop people appreciating her. It’s your choice though obviously, I’m just giving my opinion from a single male’s point of view. |

I presume they'd say it's to allow a personal and work account on one phone, but the whole idea of it feels so off.
Completely agree on the chat. Alice prides herself on not being a lady, but she still doesn't jump straight in with some of the language and suggestions that guys who are pretending do.
Another big giveaway is a bi couple who are only interested in the female. Of course, it may be that the female - as in our case - is the attractive one, but in our experience other couples just know to speak to us as a couple. |

Yes, once you change the settings in your phone ( allow parallel apps) then you can install any apps more than once on your phone .
The second part , Yes, the interest is always pointed towards the female. That's all the main intention of contacting .

I was completely joking, the whole password thing is a joke that started earlier in the thread and I was just carrying it on. I assumed everyone would realise I was only joking and wasn’t seriously accusing you of being a fake couple. I’m sorry for the confusion. |

So does anyone reckon OP is going to be able to determine whether a couple’s real or not after reading through this thread? I’m not convinced we’ve provided him with the help he was looking for. The bits of genuine advice in amongst all the password orgies and app cloning chat was basically saying to trust his instincts, but if he had good instincts he would’ve have asked for help in the first place.....
At least he’s unearthed a few couples profiles that he’ll most likely be messaging when he’s back online.... |
