Just a protein shake will not be a complete replacement for a meal, it is just a suppliment to help build or maintain muscle because its difficult to consume large enough amounts of protein if you are a sports person or body builder for example. You will lack other important minerals and vitamins, best to have the meal replacement drinks that are more balanced. Not everything works well for everyone and you might try a few different drinks before finding one you like and works for you. |

"Throw away the shake increase your protein consumption and decrease carb but do not eliminate carbs."
What that man said
A shake diet is a short fix diet which is not healthy in the long run, also if you like on just a few milkshakes a day you will loose weight but be starving.
Calorie deficit is the way to go over a period of time a fix fix diet is not a healthy diet and is unrealistic to stick to for a long period of time give me a message if you need some pointers I would in the industry if that helps and know what I am talking about kind of I think haha |

Oh, it's good to have a target but a month is no time at all to do it sensibly, be careful not to end up wiped out. |

Absolutely this
But I would add that whilst the quick fix is NOT a long term approach if you have a deadline and need to do something in a rush it can achieve that goal BUT long term it is changing the approach and achieving calorie deficit that works. It is a simple concept but bloody difficult to achieve over a prolonged period |

I watched a video of a guy who ate nothing but protein shakes and water for a week.
He looked bloody awesome at the end, but his skin was a really dodgy colour and he said he felt rough as hell.
I dread to think how you'll feel after a month. |

"I thought this thread would be about something completely different.
Now I'm here, I'd just stick to chips....
Sorry didn't you read diet?
Sadly my brain blocks out horrific words like that "
PS - in an attempt to be useful, drinking more water is a good way to trick your stomach into feeling full. Eventually your stomach will shrink slightly as it gets used to a lower food intake and that will reduce the hunger |

Agree with Brad
Big advocate for long term sustainable diets rather than a fast fix.. definitely believe in gaining as quick as i lose...
Taking it slow and steady seems to make it last longer,
Also
Found a carb cycle really helped, provided a quick loss followed by steady loss, although the key was to be in a calorie deficit (Every diet is just different ways of obtaining this)
Best thing with carb cycle was i could ration and choose to have a home made smash burger or rib's and mash and still be within my carb limit on a low carb day (avoiding any other carbs) |

I obv know why you want to do this so not gonna start like the others have.....
I say sugar free jelly, konjac noodles/rice with seasonings and look into edamame beans. I like them raw straight out the packet but told they are good cooked off with chilli and garlic x |

"Look on YouTube for the cabbage soup recipe.
One says you can lose 10lb in a week on it.
I've made one of them and it was lovely. "
Thank you I will take a look |

The only way to lose weight is with a calorie deficit. You need to use an online calculator to work out your maintenance calories then deduct 500-1000 to work out your deficit calories. I would drop the protein shakes, have one meal replacement shake a day and then focus on nutritious, low calorie meals and a few snacks.

Absolutely agree with this, I did calorie deficit,4 litres of water a day and lots of steps (never entered a gym) and lost 4 stone in 6 months.. I know you want to lose weight quicker but this is a more sustainable solution xx |

Pick out your fruit some are very good for loosing weight as they release toxin from the body whilst some contain sugar it's about eating the correct portion like a cup full And still able to enjoy and provide the immune system |

It's not possible to change your stomach size without surgery.
You can get used to eating less and start feeling full on less though. |

It may be worth looking into the protein only diet, aka the carnivore diet, usually consists of high protein beef steak, egg, high protein fish etc. the meat will keep you satiated but you will drop weight extremely quickly. Be careful coming off a diet like that though, your body will take carb reintroduction like being hit by a car! |

I've heard of the Konjac noodles and rice, but not seen them around. I've been told that you can only eat them every so often? |
