We have been on here a year ish now!!

We have had some really good fun with single guys and couples!

This year has been a tough one for us, for those of you that know us we had to move suddenly due to my daughter being very poorly!

Now we have kinda settled in our new area! Both got pretty good jobs, so everything is nearly in place!

Due to all of the above obviously meets have been on the back burner, not even on our minds in fact !

So what I am trying to say is, now everything has settled we would like to start meeting again, but after such a longish break it feels like we have just started again!!

My original op wasn't really explained properly lol.....

My question is has anyone else found it a bit nerve wracking meeting again after a long break?

Yes definitely, we have had a busy time with holiday's etc since the beginning of August.

When arranging a private meet for last Saturday, since the last one was on the 1st August, it felt like starting all over again.

I came back on after a year out... managed to get a few meets but tend not to be overly nervous...I try to relax and enjoy as much as possible...

Glad thigs have settled down for you both and hope you find your feet again!

Meeting once a week, or only once a year, nerves get the better of us, so you're not alone

Every meet is exciting and nerve wracking in its own way ! Good to hear things are improving and meets ate on the cards, as you are still an unmet friend on our friends list

I went to a social on AN Other site last night. I've been going to socials now for about 6 years, but the first time since moving down South on this other site.

I was treated like a complete newbie by the people there, despite being a member of the site longer than most of them.

It was a really odd experience, kind of put me off going again!

Yes, I've started again a few times following breaks. It's always difficult. This time has been the worst, to the extent I've actually had to have another break until my head (and life) is in the right place.

I am always nervous on private meets as we don't do this as often, clubs and parties tend to be our thing.

Yes its perfectly natural to feel this way, enjoy the good times

Yes....we always get a little nervous before a meet but find it is much worse after being on a long break.

We not had a break but have lmtd.playtime with hubby working away a lot.

Was extremely nervous @ our 1st fab social event+1st time in Club etc but with each experience grew more+more confident.Nerves are a thing of the past:we just very relaxed in all scenarious as we know others are + we don't put ourselfels under pressure:if play happens fine,if not no worrys we always enjoy ourselfes anyway.

Can understand mind that after a break it needs some time to get back into it.Just take it slow + remember your past experiences+draw from them

We are on a break at the moment after having a single male on here threatening to send intimate photos of me to my employer (we had known him for around five years so really did trust him but how wrong where we) so know exactly what you mean about confidence.

A week back we decided we would give it another go and possibly arrange a meet, but I cant see us arranging anything for a very long time. I just have no confidence and dont feel I can trust anyone. It will probably take a long time to get over the abuse/blackmail we have gone through, and can fully understand why you are feeling nervous about meeting.

The only advice I can give, is do it at your own pace, dont be pushed into anything you feel uncomfortable with, and remember you are doing this for YOU not to please anyone else, but just for YOU and your Partner.

We are just sticking with socials which are organised by people we know and trust, and where we can see a full attendance list before we decide if we wan to go, hopefully one day we will back to how we used to be, but not for a while yet.

Good luck and hope it works out.
