So couple contacts us, pass a few messages. then happy enough invite as friends, they wanna meet us sometime. They actually advertise to meet people in a club next week. We contact them with a view to joining them, they reply they can't make it, something came up, no problem except they have changed the wording of the ad, but are still looking to meet next week.  So sent em a snotty message in reply. Question.. do we leave it at that or do as I want, remove them from the friends list as another waster? |

May be next week they are looking for something in particular.... and they think you'd be more suited to when they are in the mood for something else. |

totally agree, i used to get grief off loads of guys if i put the meet today up. they all thought i should meet them when im looking for a meet !! why should i , i wanted something different hence why i didnt mail them  |

Sorry I thought I had given an answer to that question. If you'd like some alternative versions...
They don't think you are that special, but just haven't ruled you out yet.
They are edging their bets to see if someone more suited comes along before committing to a meet and want you as a back-up plan.
Your interests don't match what they are looking for next week, but do match something they look for from time to time... this not being the time right now.
When you started implying they should not look for someone else and should be meeting you...they were too polite to tell you to feck off for being way tooooooooo pushy!
They think you are a bit of a stalker by checking up on them and want to leave it for a bit to check you are not nutters.

we had the same, last minute pull outs, can't meet etc and they have a meet up on the meet today listings.
We have not deleted them but would think twice about arranging a meet, main reason is been if we get sitters in etc and then they pull out again we arranged everything for nothing.
yes you can go to a club ( at least minute thing) but that again can just lead to nothing.
So we finding it least likely we will arrange a meet unless its at a club at least we can have planned which club we want to go to and use what on offer there, ie hot tub etc.
