deleting mail???

Odd topic i know
But if someone mails you and you dont like them is it kind of the expected thing to do to delete their mail and block them?
Now i never block anyone, if i get a message and its from someone i dont like i just move onto the next, i dont delete as i go, i kind of have a clear out and block delete every week or so
But even tho i have sent guys a no thnaks reply the fact i didnt delete their message seems to be confusing some
ive had a few guys of late mail me saying things along the lines of
i know you said no but i see you havnt deleted my message so does that mean youer having second thoughts? and asking why i havnt blocked them if i dont want to meet them is it incase i change my mind and decide to meet them at a later date!
now to me that seems odd, as if someone says no to you why are you still checking their mail/profile and how can no thanks mean anything but no thanks regardless of what stage of deletion your message is in
is there some kind of unwritten rule that says you have to delete and block people you dont want to meet other wise you act of not banishing them from your profile can be taken as your still thinking about it?

we delete and block, just to save everyones time, so no unwanted mail again. Dont think they should be responding if you dont tho, but thats one of the other reasons why we do delete and block. Though we have to laugh every so often as when we are checking out events meets page we have blocked many couples and singles looking for meets, so we wonder are we too fussy lmao |

I also tend to block if they mail me again asking to meet when I've already said no thanks / not interested... |

well there are more than the fair share of weirdos on here NN! (And a few with the immaturity gene).
Personally a no would mean never to me, but I have to say block n delete I find a bit rude, and there's few enough manners around these days.

Delete message, hunt down and shoot dead unwanted senders.
Why leave them alive just for them to create a new account and chance their luck again and cuts down amount of moaning threads we all have to suffer about getting no action.
Beats the block any day  |

Deleting without replying i think is justbrude a simple no thanks goes a long way.. as for blocking just because you arent attracted to someone is bizarre.. if they constantly message unwantanly fine but just because they sent one message and not your type???

From a view point of a man who might get a hand full of messages a week then yes.
Though for a woman. .. saying no thanks dozens if not hundreds of times each day.....would you still reply to every single message?
Also the block stops the "but why nots" etc and repete chancers that try again the next day  |

Deleting without replying isn't rude if you get some of the messages I attract.
I always reply to a well written message.
I can only imagine the volume of messages women and couples get so don't be so fast to judge. |

If I get a no, then it's a no. I don't ask again, I just delete myself & move on.
However, I can understand when you've sent mail, it's been read but you hear nothing & it's not deleted. It does make you wonder if they're leaving it there to think about.

A load of people get hung up about the subject of deleting mail. As far as what is happening with yours - No thanks means exactly that. If they don't understand such basic English then shouldn't you really be using the block button to make things a bit easier for you, if nothing else?
We get something similar from couples when we tidy up our inbox and sent messages. Some seem to take it personally that you are being in some way 'nasty' to them by deleting their 'precious' mail! In reality, all we are doing is a bit of housekeeping!!
Unfortunately there are a few too many desperate, touchy or unrealistic people out there.....

we dont block out of nastyness, but with so many couples singles looking for meets its one way to make sure we dont waste anyones time mailing again, unfortunately we havnt got photogenic memory so dont always reconise them we have spoken too, if at a club we would be happy to chat but we use this site to chat about a meet, or visit a club party, so if we arent interested why shouldnt we just block |

If I message someone and they delete it without a reply I just assume they're not interested in me and I block them. I don't block them to be nasty, I just want to make sure I don't message them again by mistake and come across as a pest. |

Ive never even thought about blocking everyone ive said no to,it seems a little drastic for me but I do understand why people do it
I do sometimes block people that have done the rounds and then come back asking again and again because they've cleary forgotten who they've sent a message to though |

I don't feel the need to block someone when I have told them I am not interested, I use the note facility to remind me of why but sometimes I just read a message, don't reply and then delete messages en masse during a springclean |

I reply saying no thanks but am getting tired of the ...oh I am bi, don't smoke much, etc...we only block if people are too pushy or persistent-haven't had much abuse to be honest(I know-there's still time!)
I even got a message from someone complaining because we hadn't acknowledged his fabbing one of our pictures... |

Well I can answer that, we get a lot of messages, and both open them, rarely send a reply straight away, I might miss one that M has opened etc and sometimes they just end up falling on the page and left unanswered!
However in answer to NN we don't block anyone either, only ever block when we have said no thanks and they then message again with the same original message, as if we'd seemingly forget they've already made contact!
I do think it is a bit strange of them to be messaging back asking why they are not blocked, bit creepy imo! |

I rarely block, well unless I forgot the HRT! It all depends what is going on at the time, one month may be particularly busy and so all mail is deleted, if they try the next month they may get a totally positive response. |

If you had said "no thanks" to me I would just move on. If someone is still checking to see whether you have deleted their message and thinking there is still a chance if you haven't....to me that suggests desperation and insecurity, and confirms you made the right decision in rejecting them to begin with.
If they don't take no for an answer just block, don't get further into it with them. |

When last on the site I sent a standard polite No Thanks message to a guy who didn't interest me, but I didn't block. This guy then proceeded to pester me for the whole day, each time being told "No Thanks I'm not interested", eventually I lost it and politely asked him to p*ss off and paster someone else.....for this I received the "You will be banned if you do it again" notice from Admin!...so now 9 times out of 10 I don't reply if they clearly haven't read my profile and I block if I'm not interested... |
