I get why people don't want one line emails showing an initial interest but when you've spent ages composing a suitably witty, horny & informative message which proves you've read their profile, why do people respond in a positive way... With a one line email!!
I'd understand (& appreciate the effort) if it's a no, but when they've said in their profile that one line emails will be deleted, surely a positive response from the person you've messaged should have the same courtesy??
Any thoughts? |

We try to reply appropriately to most messages we are sent but you should not forget that on here people are generally no different than the general maxim that it takes all sorts.
We would advise to keep sending the detailed message to people you fancy. |

It is annoying Mikey.I messaged an individual who emphasised the importance of intelligent conversation.I received several 'hi hun u ok?' in reply three times so i blocked em! |

It's frustrating - but not always!
Sometimes it's nice to get a reply full stop. Sometimes I get a short one line message saying thanks and they'll be in touch soon. Occasionally I get a 'Thanks. but no thanks' style message - which is fine.
And then there's the good oneliners.
Like "Get your arse down here now!" |

It's not a deal breaker, just mildly annoying. I try to live by the maxim if living within my own rules (not that there's many to be fair!) & perhaps naively expect others to do the same. I know there are often good reasons but some responses, while positive can be such a dead-end answer that you don't know how much further to take it. |

I always try to write a nice decent initial msg that's not too short but not an essay either and to be honest I'm just happy to get any sort of reply even a 'no thanks'. But given the amount of mail from males that couples and fems get I don't worry if they don't reply - it just goes with the scene I'm afraid. |

I pretty much agree Mikey, sometimes trying to have a conversation is like pulling teeth ... if they turn out to be dull or stupid I just tell them so and stop trying.
