Not sure if people have know or not, thought I'd post anyway, but if your number is saved on someones phone it's possible for them to search for friends on facebook through their mobile contacts....
Found out through a weirdo that I texted but never met messaging me on facebook today - removed my number from my profile immediately. |

It should but it also does it if you have Facebook text notifications set up!
Having a fun phone is certainly the way to go!
You don't want people knowing all your business / dirty secrets |

"Ive just set up a twitter account, with my profile name which I intend to run completely separate to my usual social network accounts"
Weve done this but noticed that if you type our user name into google it shows up with our tweets!!! |

I've just had a shock when I went to update a contact in my phone, all my Facebook friends who have any details, phone numbers email addys etc, saved on FB had been copied into my phone without me knowing. When my phone did an update last week I chose not to link my phone and FB account and yet it did it any way!!! |

"facebook are also showing some of you inbox messages on you wall if you have the new timeline.....risky lol"
fb commented on this you can see them but no one else can so it is still secure but does confuse some people |
