Profiles with old photographs

We have noticed a number of profiles that on first look seem promising then we notice the pictures are very old, often seven to ten years. Then we look at the verifications and they also are of a similar vintage. What do others make of these profiles? |

Although my profile is reasonably new, some of my photos are a few years old.
I include them because I think they’re good photos, but more importantly to show that I have a real history in swinging and although I like a bit of fantasy, I’m not a fantasist!
Single men are the great unwashed underclass here, many of whom are complete frauds. I think my pics go somewhat to show that I’m real.
But with any profile of course, if you think it’s fishy, scroll on by. There are literally thousands more to choose from.

I think OP means that on some profiles the pictures were uploaded many years ago rather than old pictures that have been recently uploaded. I always think it’s a bit weird when someone posts pictures and has verifications a few years ago and then there’s nothing. There may be a reasonable explanation but it doesn’t look good.
I really like the old pictures that you’ve posted and it is great that you’re able to show that you have a long history with swinging. Have you ever considered explaining in your bio why you have old pictures on your profile? I think that it could be a bit off putting for some people that you have old pictures as it could appear that you’re using fake pictures but the explanation you use in your post above is really endearing and confirms that you’re very genuine and experienced and I think adding it to your profile would totally change how some people receive your profile. I’m in no way criticising your profile or trying to tell you what to do, just asking if you’ve ever considered it. |

Dead easy if you don’t like don’t meet
Have we taken pics over the last two years … no had other issues to contend with and we’re getting old too but guess what
we don’t give a stuff it’s the hand we are dealt. Some one asked us why are our face pics 5 years old because they are…. still same faces but older we don’t take selfies |

It's no different to people who created a profile in medieval times and gave up making any effort since.
The ones that state their age in the bio text but haven't updated it in the last 5 or 6 years.
Those who often speak here about how the forums haven't been the same since so and so left 7¾ years ago and are obviously jaded but believe that because they've been in the scene for so long that they don't need to make an effort anymore.
In saying all that, it doesn't bother me how others run their profiles unless they are expecting me to do all the work. |

Your pictures are really original and it’s obvious you’ve put a lot of thought and effort into them (unlike mine I’ll admit) so it’s totally understandable that you haven’t had the time or inclination to go to the effort you normally do with everything that’s been going on in the last couple of years. |

If there's something on a profile you don't like then simply move on to another. There are plenty available.
There are too many people telling others what pictures they should or should not post. If their profile works for them why should they worry what anyone else thinks, and more to the point why should you worry? |

We’d just move on to the next profile.
Having said that our own profile feels quite jaded at the moment.
The onset of the pandemic brought our meets and club nights to a standstill.
By summer of this year we had completely lost our mojo and the recent uncertain times have done little to reignite it.
Here’s hoping that at some stage next year we are able to continue with the lifestyle we loved so much.

Don’t read to much into pictures very seldom Someone looks like their pics anyway , to many filters And photo editing now to take years off people however in answers to the question, I think people add pics when they open an account and never bother updating them |

My pics are old and I’ve not been active for a while. I’m considering rejoining the world of fab. At that point I’ll do an update. Other than that I don’t have too much of a problem. People that know me still talk to me (and some new ones too) and I do share recent pictures away from the site. If I start clubbing again I’ll update. But I like my pictures so I’m keeping them. Old or not

Our eldest one is from 2015, which is when we started this profile. Shows we're not newbies, is our take on it. We have current update ones. - no I lie like a cheap carpet. I've lost a few more pounds. But not had chance to take new ones. - fem. |

Ours are pretty old, can’t be bothered to update is the truth. We drift in and out of swinging when the mood takes us. As for the last couple of years, it’s been a washout so we haven’t bothered. Maybe it’s time for some new ones. |

Who the fuck still look the same as they did 10 years ago
