I think I’m in my last couple of days of using this site. I’ve been a Silver Supporter for a long time - had lots of meets in the past - but the site has lost its value (for me) and maybe it is time I admitted it?
Barely a reply to individually-tailored messages, lucky if a message gets read - and no one seems to want to meet any more (except EVERY man, apparently - and then I hear they don’t show up!)
I’ve often ‘criticised’ the site for being little more than an extension for some people’s porn - and the messages that I understand women receive confirm that. I joined looking for (and taking) a more Bohemian, hedonistic approach but that’s no longer popular, it seems.
So, thanks all - if and when I leave it will be a sad day but in truth, success has been low on here (zero) in the last 2 years; I’ve found myself stuck between Swinging Sites and Dating Sites and the latter have proved significantly more rewarding.
The problem is, I know it is so hard to leave - shall I delete my profile, or just hide it and try ever so hard not to visit?
Damn, I think it really might be time to go…. Anyone else been through this? |

Aye I know what you mean.... I have met a lot of folks over the years on and off of here, some moved on others stayed friends but off of here....sadly the virus thing has put some spoilers in there but nowt wrong in holding your profile and hide it for a while and pop back say in the Spring and take a look, if still not working for you, drop out for a wee bit longer.... whatever you do, have a great Christmas and all that, stay safe .... |

Thank you - I can see the initial benefit of just hiding my profile - but I know I’ll keep coming back for a sneaky peak.
Maybe it is goodbye to all, Fab, Facebook, Instagram, etc? All too addictive? |

Hide your profile and just take a breather from fab I'd suggest. I look at fab as just being one part of my online "ecosystem" and at different times I want different things from them, whether fab, insta or whatever. I'm still weighing up fab (early days and got my own reservations about it) but if I found it not contributing I'm one way it'll likely do do in another. |

I have tried to leave several times.
I even deleted my friends and some of my private photos last time.
I hid my profile and managed aboit 5 weeks away, but Fab just draws me back in.

And that’s the problem - I won’t stop looking at the searches, updates, who’s near, forums, if I just hide my profile.
This can (has) become hugely addictive - but it is also a major waste of time and more importantly, hugely frustrating.
So, much as I’ve loved it, I think I’m going to have to say “goodbye” and hope I’m strong enough to resist coming back - in a worse position as I’ll have no verifications. Argh! |

If you see this;
Get a trusted friend to lock you out of your account, change your password for you, and hold it for a year or until you wobble. I’ve done this on other sites a few times over the years, and it’s been good for me. |
