"5 times in 3 days…so far….it’s going really well!"
It happens, including to couples. We have had two couple message us, one blocked because we didn’t respond back after a couple of days, the other couple, just blocked us. Don’t take it personal, it’s each to their own. |

It's happened to me over the past 2 days and we were meant to have had a coffee social this evening too.
Unfortunately ghosting is something that happens to many of us.

We set up up a meet with someone Saturday, he had good veris etc. So hotel booked, kids sorted for the night. Come meet time, ghosted.
He then put a new veri on his profile the next day from a club meet he had that same night. Absolute prick. Blocked! |

How long did you know the people? Couldn’t have been anything too meaningful if you’ve had 5 in 3 days.
Ghosting is usually reserved for relationships/friendships with meaning |

That is a 90% investment. Deff one first meet is important. But the Ghosters will always ghost.
It is lack of empathy! & soulless.
Yet they feel they have the upper and higher ground!
My policy with work and social. Take ownership and say n treat how you wish to be treated.

Dunno why people do this. I've been chatting to someone for weeks and had a social arranged for today. Guess what.....I've not heard from him for days! He's disappeared back under the rock from where he crawled out from and!!! No wonder people get p*ssed off on here and find it difficult to meet genuine people. |

"Dunno why people do this."
I think they either:
- lose their bottle
- get a better offer
- were hopping that by offering to meet they think you'll go all gooey eyed and give them the wank chat they actually wanted
-are general morons

im of the understanding that ghosting means you know or have met the person who then ghost you after meeting you ??
people are using the word for anything now people change there mind or hear n see something they dont like and dont bother chatting anymore thats not ghosting ..and being told no thanks is ghosting either .... nothing is ever 100% until you meets and even at that point people will and can walk away ....
some need to grow thicker skin for this scene as its a rejection factory and rejection by any means.... |

That made me laugh
It also distracted me sufficiently from what I was doing that I spilled my cup of tea all over my keyboard
Seems to work thanks to the silicone cover. Which was purchased after a similar incident, but involving a cat, destroyed the keyboard |

I'm far too accident prone to allow liquids near electronic equipment! |

Yes exactly this. Ghosting is when someone is an actual part of your life and then they vanish. Not someone you messaged a few times disappears and changes their mind. There’s so many terms floating about that armchair psychologists use to reassure themselves. |

I, miss was due to have a social meet years ago, he messaged same day and cancels due to having his son. That's fair enough, things happen, but next day shiny new very graphic veri appeared on his profile.
He still winks me now, but has less chance than none of a meet, I hate dishonesty. |

Omg, this happned to us but didn't get ghosted.. this "lady" and I say that but probably a man going by his comments.. anyway whoever it was messaging being really nice and we were msging back in between sorting the kids so it wasn't straight away.
Well that pissed them of because we then got one saying..why the fuck are you on this site if your not going to respond quicker..just a waste of time you guys are...so he was looking for some sexy talk for want material |

Most people are not compatible with most other people. The fab norm is to stop contact, to equal 'no thanks', no further interest.
Some may call it ghosting but you have to play the numbers game. Contact with lots of people, only some of them getting to meets and lots of silence along the way |
