Some people do it in a childish way because they are immature and can hide behind a computer screen. They possibly have no friends in real life and think that by making fun of people in a vindictive way, that will gain them friends. Perhaps they are of below average intelligence and do not have the brains to understand that what they are doing is hurtful. Perhaps they don't care because they lack empathy.
Some people think that kind of humour- belittling people, making people feel bad etc is funny. They say things with the intention of hurting and upsetting people. I think that is pathetic.
Some people make fun of people in a funny way. They do it with humour and kindness and everyone knows that they mean no harm.
The person they are mocking joins in with the fun and it is all good natured and amusing. Perhaps it could be said that people who do it in a clever way are in fact clever and intelligent themselves.

Good point, I do get my fair share back too As someone else mentioned earlier, it's all just fun. I don't class nastiness or bullying as piss taking by the way.
What really gets on my goat are the ones who try to be all 'Victor Mature' and be the voice of reason on threads, when it's as obvious as the cock on their prifile pics that they are just using it as a cheap tactic to try to pull women. Pathetic!  |

It really upsets me when I read postings where someone is taking the piss out of someone else. I have even cried all afternoon about some of them. I think it's cruel and unnecessary to pick on people just because they are easy targets. That marquisdehappy is a prime example and he should be stopped. To much laughing goes on and this should be more serious. |
