Playing in an air BNB
Jump to: Newest in thread
Just wondering if anyone play's in them? We rented one for us and our children a few weeks ago, while we were there it struck us that it would be an ideal place for meets, half the price of a hotel much more space as well, three double beds, three toilets and two bathrooms. Seemed ideal for meets. |

"Don't know if that would be allowed though law but I can see what you mean.
Have a google search, loads of articles about cameras being found
"
Well I’m sure if they did, there’s a good days worth of footage I’d love to watch back |

"We’ve played in one before, it was a detached annexe above a double garage.
A little cold but we didn’t have to worry to much about anyone over-hearing us. "
It wasn’t Tiny house by Alison was it?

One of my favourite meets from here was in an airbnb. Nicely secluded location with nobody to disturb when things got a bit noisy.
I'm not arsed about the thought of cameras - anyone spying on me gets what they deserve having to watch footage of me! |

Air bnbs are ideal for meets and group sessions. Search for self check in and you won’t have to meet the owner. A few have cameras on the door and if more folk turn up then they are expecting you can expect to be asked to leave. |

Our first ever meet, we booked one and didn't realise we'd booked a shared flat, just a guy renting a room out for the night. He was in the next room, only separated by flimsy plasterboard walls.
We did it anyway, probably kept the poor bloke awake all night |

I have used one once. It was a detached cottage on their farm, no issues at all and felt more normal having a chat and a coffee/meal in the kitchen as well as the fun in the bedroom.
I think as long as you do your research and make sure it’s not just someone’s spare room, then why not? |

In my experience they sometimes have a camera just on the door to check who's coming and going also sometimes a noise monitor.
Very sensible as homes as leases/neighbours don't want big noisy parties or people only paying for two adults when really there's say 6 of them.
Apart from that much better than a hotel cheaper more space and some have hot tubs etc |

"I have one that i let people play in etc. Give them a great deal if they let me listen/watch or leave me a nice treat in the morning!
That’s creepy"
Why? It's no different to booking a hotel room or looking for a 3 some, and the renters get a cheap room.
They aren't being spied on. |

Note: As of 20 August 2020, Airbnb announced a global ban on all parties and events at Airbnb listings, including a cap on occupancy at 16, consistent with our community policies. This party ban applies to all future bookings on Airbnb, and it will remain in effect indefinitely, until further notice
just taken off website, it was in news some oik lost control of party! place got wrecked, police called etc etc owners return..... youd need to know your guests! we used a huge hotel room once lol |

"Good to know that, sixteen is still a lot of people though
might vary on size of property? flat less than 5 bed house? let us know if you find somewhere and have a party! " If we are ever up your way. X |

"If there is a security camera within a holiday home in the UK it is illegal.
It is also illegal for the home owner to record audio in holiday homes."
That won't deter property owners who have one installed for nefarious purposes though. |

"Would the owners not have a camera or two in the property? I know i would have "
They have to list where said cameras are as well on the booking. Officially that is.
In an Airbnb I always check for cameras or recording devices. Found a few bookings with them and I just pull them out if not listed on booking contract .
In America it’s a nightmare |

As an airbnb host I would be really pissed off if someone brought back extra people to my property. It would invalidate the insurance that airbnb provides to you. I'd also be really pissed off if people were having sex meets in my property. You'll be making extra mess and generally not treating it as I would like. As for the scenario above - if anyone had tried to bring someone else in when I was renting out my spare room I'd be kicking you out quicker than your feet could touch the ground.
If you must book airbnbs for meets then book higher cost serviced apartments with professional landlords, not someone renting an annexe of their home for extra cash. |

Not sure why you’d say that about the insurance. We rent out a number of properties through air bnb and their insurance constantly refers to “guests (and others)” or “guests and their invitees.” So the liability insurance would be valid for your guests guests so to speak. They assume that people renting a property may want to invite guests over |

If you think people should only behave in a rented property exactly as the landlord would behave then you shouldn’t be a landlord. |
